2011 Big 10 Cross Country

That 5k loss last Spring came after beating down the Badgers on way to his 10k victory. In that same 5k you mention, Mo from Wisconsin was crying on the infield halfway through having been gunned down from front-running attempt.

Mead is the man.

Has there been any change in the coverage this year? WIll there be a live on line feed or do we have to wait a month for the highlight show on the Big Ten netork?

Mead was not yet back in full form last spring. He said it felt good to be back running well.

What did you want him to do last year indoors? He had to get back to racing at some point, and coming back after being out for a year and a half is extremely difficult (just ask Teg). I thought it was impressive that he was able to throw down an 8:03. Anybody that thought he was just going to step on the track and win Big 10s was delusional.

Great example, idiot. Mead was a FROSH, and got beat by an older Bethke in a very slow tactical race. WTF does that prove? Hassan still closed in 28 (to Bethke's 26). Bethke didn't even finish as a Badger, and Mead went on to dominate Big Ten distance for the next three years. Compare his record to anyone else in the Big Ten and it's a joke. Total domination, even over some very good Badgers. Hassan's a lot stronger now than he was last May at Big Tens, when he won the 10 000. He should win Sunday; he's still at the top of the Big Ten food chain.

So when its pointed out that Mead gets blasted and is no longer at the top of the food chain, you discount the facts and go on with the same banter/false statements. Go Gophers - way to represent I guess...

IU - they're going to shadow Badgers and putkick them when Bucky gets stressed from trying to get away from the and can't.

WISCO - rebounds from this and wins NCAA though

MINN - Mead wins and they do good job at conference. Will not be as lucky as last year to make Nationals though.

MICH - 3 good frontrunners will beat all else by far

PSU - didn't run the wisconsin meet; course was a wreck at their home meet instead. Ran very well at Griak

OSU - Usually bad in middle of season, but wisconsin inv was better than it looked. If they didn't start peaking there, they usually show up for the end.

ILLINOIS - at home, with 1st year coach, and senior dominated team, they're my wild pick for 3rd! 7th is where they should be.

MSU - trying to keep up with the women

IOWA - if unpredictable Thode is your best hope, it is going to be tough

PURDUE - nicve that the cornhuskers have gotten here (until they kill everyone in track)

1) It was not my point about Mead getting blasted in the first place, I just posted the video evidence

2) The idiot defending Mead(mead=STUD), said that Mead NEVER GETS BLASTED at B1G. Point and case it happened (yes as a fr, and no it really doesnt mean much that he did get blasted that year)

And Mead has the best track record in the B1G??? I known Im a badger fan but ever hear of Solinsky you clown??

I'm pretty sure Mead actually has more Big 10 track titles than Solinsky. That doesn't mean that I'm saying Mead has had a better collegiate career...I don't think anybody would seriously try to argue that.

Tough day for Shields. He was closing the gap well. Hopefully, he comes back strong for regionals and nats.

So, not only did Mead not run away with it but Wisconsin was still able to run in a pack. Given the 3/4/5/5/7 runners for OSU, as long as the top five run up to the standard that they have set this season, they should be the favorite.

So, was this course extremely fast or short ?
