Top 5 teams?
Top 5 teams?
Willams 37
Amherst 122
Trinity 143
Brandeis 158
Bowdoin 204
do you think all 5 will get to go to nationals? do you think williams can crack the top 5?
No, Bowdoin is out.
Griffin has to be the surprise individual qualifier along with Gomes.
How can you think Griffin is a suprise? He came in 8th last year and his season has been real solid so far. I see him being an all-american in a week.
I know he made it last year, he's been solid this year, but this was by far his best race of the year. He was only 4th in his conference meet two weeks ago. I would love to see him be an All-American, I coached him in HS.
Nice race for Bowdoin, where was Ogilvie at NESCACs? What happened to Keene, did MacPherson run?
what place do u need to be to individually qualify for DIII nats?
probably dropped out
A lot of teams had off days- Trinity got 3rd with their 5th man in 90th. The 5th place team, Bowdoin, had 200 points. What happened to Tufts? What happened to Keene and MIT? Yesterday was a pretty crazy race, with many upsets. Great day for Bowdoin, though they probably won't go to nats. Also, congrats to Middlebury men and women for stepping up.
Any one know where a list of qualifying teams and individuals will be published?
posted on ncaa.com supposedly at 3 pm today.
I wouldn't say MIT was much of a surprise, they do this every year... put 7-10 guys on the All-NEWMAC team and then are nowhere to be found come Regionals... Halston gets to go with the women though..
With the team fields officially posted, the following will represent the New England region in Hanover:
Teams
Williams
Amherst
Trinity
Brandeis
Individuals
Faller
Murtagh
Ogilvie
Griffin
Jasud
Gomes
Bouchard
RE Tufts. Welch was ill, had to gut it out. Sophs did their best. They will regroup for next year, highly likely. And Faller is bullet proof.
I think Edgar put a bullet in him...
huge performance by williams and trinity men going 3-7. 6 NE all americans in EdKos, Perlis, Moorhead, Norte, Ogilvie, and Faller. Chaffee ran really well too but just missed out by 2, which sucks.
congrats to the middlebury women as well. great race by tropiano, but bourner was just too good in the last 800.
that course was dirty fast.
