I didn’t mean Koch’s actual splits; the point was in an even-paced 400m, SML would have been underneath the WR. She obviously could run this race in her sleep, so her choosing to go out under the WR was telling.
I thought she had a lot more in the tank after slowing way down over the last 100m.
Who was it that said McLaughlin was going to run 47? Some people have nonodea really track I swear. I said 48.6 to 48.9...don't people realise she runs relaxed even when pushing, or how big the gap was between 49.5 in her SF to the 47 predicted? Hopefully now there's no nonsense chat re her getting the WR. She will never beat 47.60.
