Seeing talk of the Cobber coach to Drake on a different thread. Any truth to that rumor?

Cobber coach isn't going anywhere. That thread keeps posting random D3 names for Drake and coaches or their friends keep posting that they aren't interested.

Johnnies brought in a big group with a lot of promise for their system- 2:02/10:02, 4:35/10:10, 10:03, 10:12, and a 10:09 - based on his improvement curve the last two years he'll be a diamond in the rough stud for Maxwell. Looks like several others are projects to develop over several years. They do an amazing job of developing athletes into sub 15/All-MIAC XC runners without all the social media fanfare of other programs.

Interesting to read the Ole XCTF IG story about Ignatius and see that Ian Curtis recruited him. Looks like Phil’s legacy is being extended by his recruits. More proof that Chunko can’t rely on social media posts for his recruiting and that he just relies on talent rather than developing athletes like the rest of the MIAC. He will definitely need to step it up after this year. Im fairly certain all of Phil’s recruits graduated last year so no he is solely relying on the scraps of past success.

Crazy hate for absolutely no reason

Hopefully whoever continues to trash st olaf and the coach will grow up someday and realize what an embarassment they are. Its not even funny.

And its also embarrassing that the comments are likely made by some small group of insignificant athletes in the northfield area. No one else puts that much stupid energy into this thread.

Indy appears to be training really well too. The Carls top 3 is scary. All it will take is a couple guys to make minor improvements in classic Ricksy style and they'll be a solid second. And on a perfect day, they might catch the Oles sleeping and break their streak.

I'm more interested to see what sort of jump Bethel can despite losing Grant and whether all the new Gusties can help the current team move back into the upper echelon of the MIAC.

Knowing Power he’ll probably try to have someone design quirky t-shirts as awards or maybe just hand out giant candy bars or apple pies from the orchard. I would kick down my own teammate for pie.

Has anyone else heard the rumors of Gael forgoing his senior year to join a freedom flotilla headed to Gaza? With how radically left that school is I wonder if the oles will suffer any other notable losses in teammates joining him. Possibly and likely Fitzgerald?

Concordia, Gustavus and Augsburg have listed most of their commits on their social media. St. Scholastica posted their full roster. Looks like several mid-D types and a strong miler, but replacing Lars/Calvin will be tough unless they get some grad transfers like our friend Tucker. Oles, Hamline, and St. Mary's are the only ones hiding their class still.

Question for the Olaf and Carleton people: do you still have a plastic duck decoy that you try to steal from each other? In the 90s that led to some of the most absurd s#!t!

I’ll Olaf, Carleton, St. John’s, and Mac for my top four. Gusties will be closer to Mac than Bethel.

Are we thinking about the same Indy? Indy that has not run more than 5 hours in a week all summer?
