These new tariffs are RECIPROCAL - meaning we're raising tariffs to match tariffs that everyone else places on us. Weird how tariffs are so bad for the economy, but every other country uses them against us.
If they were reciprocal tariffs, then why are other countries raising their tariffs to match his new ones? He's tanking the economy, just like he did last time. But at the same time, he's taking down all the functions of government necessary to a modern wealthy society, from health care for veterans to nuclear security, the IRS, the Centers for Disease Control, our museums, libraries, and universities, and public schools.

They obviously aren't. They were calculated using A = (B - C) / C where B = trade deficit in goods with a particular country and C = total goods imports from that country. Singapore got hit with a 10% when their tariffs on the US was 0% (we have/had a free trade agreement with Singapore). Beyond not being reciprocal, they're also largely nonsensical. Israel got hit with a 17% tariff, which is higher than what was placed on Iran. Russia got hit with 0%. Uneducated people used xAI's Grok to determine the tariff equation (A = (B - C) / C) and decided to just go with that.
should call a ma.ga Friday. Because you idiots who are afraid of brown people, can’t compete in today’s job market, and worship of buffoon first thing cost me over $100,000 since last two days.

The less money people like you have the better. Giving imbeciles wealth is like giving a toddler a butcher knife to run around with.
It's truly amazing how much wealth in the US has been lost over the past few days.
Four or five more days of this and we'll be talking about the next great depression, which is a very likely scenario.
At least we paid off the national debt with all that lost wealth. Oh wait… we didn’t pay off any of the national debt? WTF!?
My gut says the markets will stabilize early next week, and we won’t see as much of a sell-off. But, it’s still unclear how the EU and other countries will respond to the tariffs and how Trump will respond to retaliatory tariffs, like China’s.
Down 3.56% today...too hasty to put tariffs on China. Tesla was up when I looked at 10:30 and now it's down 5% today. Nvidia basically the same. A ton of others down - Apple, google (alphabet), Microsoft, etc
It has just been learned that China has taken an extraordinarily aggressive position on Trade in sending an extremely hostile letter to the World, stating that they were going to, effective November 1st, 2025, impose large scale Export Controls on virtually every product they make, and some not even made by them. This affects ALL Countries, without exception, and was obviously a plan devised by them years ago. It is absolutely unheard of in International Trade, and a moral disgrace in dealing with other Nations. Based on the fact that China has taken this unprecedented position, and speaking only for the U.S.A., and not other Nations who were similarly threatened, starting November 1st, 2025 (or sooner, depending on any further actions or changes taken by China), the United States of America will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software. It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DONALD J. TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
