I said this on another thread too - the DL format really dictating the main events that meets like Zurich have has really impacted the quality of the meets. I still can't believe there is no 800 or 5000 (sure they had a non DL 3000 - not the same) for the men - those two events along with the 1500/mile were always the absolute cornerstone of Weltklasse and have arguably given the meet it's most memorable ever moments.
This meet has been a little underwhelming tbh.
I think average is a fine assessment. The times are a bit down with the weather, and tired/absent athletes have led to some surprises in the 400H on both sides. It’s really hit the field events worst of all. Still quite good from Grant, SCR, Tebogo, Moraa and Chebet with weather really preventing the “wow” or world record moments we’d want.
