We changed the title of the thread to make it more factual and descriptive. It was initially entitled, "I guess Brosnan did actually do it," but the release says the former coach (Brosnan) is still disputing the allegations.
Sean recruited her to transfer to UCLA. Dalia announced it on her Instagram.
1 day later, bizarre post that she decided to transfer to Oregon instead.
You're crazy. Dalia Frias was at UCLA for much longer than one day. Why would you even bother to post something that even you know is completely wrong?
And the only reason she left UCLA for Oregon was because UCLA let Sean Brosnan go.
And the only reason she hasn't been running recently is because she had a serious injury and she is still recovering.
Next time you post make sure you get your facts right.
Hopefully she's ok? She's sporting a boot on BOTH feet in her latest instagram post.

Would of been awesome if she ran for Brosnan instead of surgery are Oregon
Mackey was a pro , Coach Ray was a Pro ? Joe was a Pro ? Ben was a Pro ? Hansons pros ?
If people only knew what group and who Brosnan is coaching after this pro season. The haters would die.
I wish Brosnan was more active on his Instagram because so haters would see what’s happening and simmer down.
The hint I’ll give you is Brosnan is not talking a NCAA job and his deal has been signed and done. I can only think it will be announced by the fall after the DL finals. Brosnan is not at all those pro races for no reason. He’s literally flying around the world for good reason.
Not much of what Jakob does these days needs coaching. Eight months of the year, he trains the exact same way he's been training for nearly a decade now: same old threshold workouts on Tuesday/Thursday, hills Saturday, long run Sunday, with 6 mile doubles to fill everything else out.
Anyone know the latest in the Brosnan case? According the NCAA infractions dashboard, they are 125 days into the process of Brosnan's individual hearing and resolution since the separation of the cases (Brosnan and UCLA).
Is there any movement on this or expected time for a resolution?
It looks like the latest was "Enforcement held pre-hearing conference with the involved individual." on February 21, 2025. I think that means they are about 4 weeks from the final hearing. This may finally be somewhat close to wrapping up. Anyone taking wagers on the outcome?

Looks like there was a COI hearing/panel review on 4/24/25 and based on other cases, the decision is usually arrived upon anywhere from a couple of days to a week after those hearings. I guess we'll find out shortly if the NCAA thinks Brosnan was guilty and if so, what his penalty will be.
You say it’s a nothing burger. We’ll see if the NCAA agrees. You make not like the rules or agree with them, but if you break them, you’ll probably have to pay the price. I wonder if Sean would have approached his admin and said, “the rules are bogus, mind if I break them?”, would they have told him to go ahead?

Amazing amount of money wasted by the "source" while not doing anything positive for anyone involved.

Who is the source you are referring to? Sean or the NCAA?
This is such a typical Trump style defense to say the organization enforcing the rules is somehow wasting money and resources doing their actual job. Like somehow the violation is so minor they should let it slide because there are bigger issues they should be focusing on. That's not the way rules work. If you break the rules, the organization that enforces the rules' job is to do just that - enforce the rules. The person who broke the rules is the one that's wasting the money and resources that could be directed to positive things.
Always the victim. Whether it was breaking the rules during COVID, reported CIF violations or the nonsense at UCLA, it's always "for the kids". Such a load of BS. The rules are always dumb or punishing the kids, but never his fault for not following them.
We’ll see. I have nothing personally invested in how it turns out. If he’s cleared, good for him. I hope he’ll be able to move on. if he’s found to have broken the rules, then I hope he’s appropriately held accountable and everyone who said he did nothing wrong, accept that he did.
My guess is, it will lie somewhere in between and will have some kind of settlement that doesn’t 100% absolve him, but also has a very small punishment.
