If he was significantly faster than 1:46 he would have competed over the distance. He lacks speed. If he tried to run a faster 800 he still wouldn't beat 1:45. He would need to be able to run 22-high for the 200 - he can't. Low speed with freakish endurance equals the best drugs modern technology can supply.

He obviously is much better then them over 3000m. What don't you understand on this?

He is not an 800m runner (but surely can run under 1:45 currently) and even 1500m is too short for him. 3000m is around his best distance and it was no question that in the right conditions he could run such a time.

His last 2000m was much faster than Walker's famous former 2k WR, which means he clearly can run faster.

Have you seen the race, Armstrong? Fantastic sport, don't you think?

“the best drugs modern technology can supply” would be for sale to all wealthy interests, making it a level playing field. Since “He lacks speed” others with speed should easily be able to defeat him.

I agree there are some at the top who are above the rules, but he has been in the sport long enough for there to be serious smoke outside of records.

The 800 is not a goal of his, 1:46 is ancient history .
