Jakob ran a 1:46 in 2020 for 800m and then a 1:47 in 2022 while being in supposedly better shape 2 years on and a stronger athlete. I don't expect his 800m PB to be faster than 1:46 given the profile presented to me here. Only a 1:47 in 2022 despite running 3:46 and 3:29 that season. While he improved to 3:27:95 in 2023 his 1:47 in 2022 still very fresh in the memory as a red mark on his raw speed ability. So I say still a 1:47 in 2023 if I need to put a value to it. Then in 2024 he progresses to 3:26:73 and now I'm thinking back to 1:46 but this is no ordinary 1:46 you feeling me sir????
This is 1:46 4 years on from 2020 in 2024!!!!! 1:46 in 2020 is not equal to 1:46 in 2024!!!! Why??? Because the space-time circumstances are all different alright!!!!!!!!! Just as Olympic gold at 21 is different from Olympic gold at 30 for the same person. So Jakob is no faster than 1:46 in 2024 right now.
I forgot about that. He had a bad race. 2022 overall was a weak year for him. Why are you morans so convinced he would race it “if he could run faster than 1:45”? Makes no sense, 1:44 high isn’t significant any more. He definitely can’t run 1:43 but he can sneak under 1:45.
