And 10.65 to 10.87 is a MASSIVE difference. We are talking the difference between a top 5 sprinter all time and a not even top 50 sprinter all time.

It would be a lot like if Usain Bolt got hurt in Berlin hypothetically speaking, but then Tyson Gay choked and went 9.90. Sure, it’s a good time, but not for him. Hopefully that helps some visualize what happened today a little better

Sha’Carri was the world leader and still has the faster PB. She had and awful start. Even if she matched Alfred’s start, she would have lost. She 100% choked. Silver is, frankly, a major victory for her. She was a bundle of nerves before the gun. I’m surprised she didn’t false start.

Not getting out of the blocks quickly has nothing to do with talent. It's a mental error, so in that sense it is a "choke". even with just a good start she probably still ends up with Silver.
