I dont know ho many times i can say this. NC state wont have this problem like some other programs. They dont roster that many runners. A few local recruits may have to sit out 1 year of XC. That is it. The point I was making is that runners that will have to do that always redshirt freshman year XC at schools like NC state anyways. Look at this years class of freshman. Shea and Michalak are running, the other 4 freshman are redshirting. It changes nothing if they are listed on the official roster or not. In future years those types of recruits will just be listed on the track roster.
Then again i dont know why i'm arguing someone that said this:
"They literally have to be off of the roster. No practice. No gear. No medical. Just a regular student."
