This Nick Kipleri guy, and many others, are in for some big surprises. Jakob himself, and all the people close to him, knows he is better the longer the distance gets. The 1500 is the greatest challenge for Jakob.
If he don’t get sick or injured, he will wipe the floor with Arigawi and those other guys. The 1500 is probably his weakest distance, and that says a lot.

He is the double Euro xc champion from 2021 and 2022. These are a great indication of his endurance capabilities, because he does no xc training but is vastly superior on the 9,5km course (which surely equates to above 10000m on a track) against the best athletes in europe, many of whom train specifically for it

The world championships in Tokyo in 2025 is in September. That's the only major championships for him that year, and he will be 24 years old that season. He will have plenty of time that season to go after all the records he wants, all the way from 1500-10000, while being 24 and in his prime.

When Jakob beats them they are injured, have withdrawals and lousy races.
The fact is that most of them just are more up and down so you never know when they deliver a super race.
Aregawi and Kiplimo was out of the 5000m in WC 2022 because of lacklustre performances in the 10000m. Aregawi was substituted with Haile Bekele who also underperformed. I suppose Kiplimo removed himself from the 5000m because he realized he wouldn´t be competitive. And Kiplimo is reportedly considering to do the same this year.
And you stubbornly stick to your postulate that the 3000m is Jakob´s best event even though the Ingebrigtsens themselves (Jakob and Henrik) say it´s the 5000m.
But luckily will get some clarification in a month from now.
If Jakob manages to peak in Budapest and avoids accidents I predict he will win the 5000m as easily as he won in Eugene.

Haile Gebrselassie, wearing the old spikes, might beat Jakob wearing the new spikes at 5000m, or else it is too close to call. At 3000m Jakob wins. They are not identical races and you cannot seem to grasp this. If they both were wearing today’s footwear, I am not sure what happens at 2 miles but Geb would defeat Jakob at 5000m, and it is not open to debate.

While I agree with your predicted outcome, I don't agree with the process.
In a non-paced championship setting, murderous pace is just another way of saying bad pacing, with early accumulation and running most of the 5000 with a higher average lactate than normal, resulting in a slower final time.
In the 5000 Jakob has shown, on multiple occasions, that 1) he's acutely aware of his own limits and 2) that he doesn't get stressed out by race dynamics. Take the U20 WC in Tampere, or DL Florence as examples. Gaps start appearing but he sticks to the plan and catches up later.
I don't see how he fails to close the gap, even if three Ethiopians run a team time trial up front and he runs in no-mans-land with Katir on his tail.
Also, the Ugandans and Kenyans aren't letting the Ethiopians get away for free, so they'll make sure someone is closing any gaps that appear in the first 3k.
When it comes to the finish it will be a repeat of Eugene. Jakob takes the lead with 1k-800m to go, and churns out a 2:22.0 for a 12:53.0 win.
That’s something that has always amazed me about Jakob, the ability to see a pack of runners go, and just stay calm and know that you’re in the right place.
The confidence to think that it’s not you who are getting dropped, but the whole pack that is going too fast.
When I was running, especially young, when you saw a pack of more than one runner go, in your mind that was basically over for the win, even if you were just as good as them on paper.
That’s why his race in Chia at European XC U20 when he was 16 and his race at World U20 in Tampere are two of my favorite races ever. Like how confident do you have to be, as a 17 year old, to let a gap of almost 100m open up mid 5k, with Gjert starting to say that you messed up and that it’s over, and then just catch up and win/medal over a 12:44 guy.
Even in Florence I remember the commentators saying something along the lines of Ingebrigtsen is being dropped, it’s over, as a 1500m specialist he just can’t do anything against the world record older.
