So, by YOUR definition of "victim," Lynn Jennings was not a victim for the past 45 years. Only recently she became a victim.

You can be a victim while also enabling the abuser, which is exactly what is happening here. I don’t think anyone in this thread truly believes that Addy is NOT a victim. She clearly has been abused and manipulated for years. It’s been going on for so long I’m sure it’s just engrained into her system at this point and she considers it all normal.

I’ve said this in the other thread but I’ll say it again here: The fact that Addy, or anyone on the HU team is allowed to have any contact with the Johnsons shows complete institutional failure from the university, and complete legal failure from local law enforcement. Also shows terrible parental judgement from anyone that allows their son or daughter to put on those tacky HU singlets.

There is already a whole court case about that. It's not a secret.

if she's still in contact with the Johnsons then USADA and safesport need to know that. the assumption after the police reports was that she wasn't.

None of us know whether the Johnsons tried to get Wiley to dope or not.

What we do know: Wiley did not run XC her freshman year of high school. She did run track her freshman year and ended the season with PRs of 2:10 and 4:46.

Think about that. 2:10 and 4:46 for a freshman girl within a few months of running competitively.

Girls in the NAIA are really crying about her cheating? She was faster after a few months of training/racing as a kid than 99+% of them ever will be at any time of their lives. Her 2:10 as a freshman in HS was fast enough to be 4th in the nation for NAIA last season and her 1600 from freshman year converts to a time good for 3rd in the nation for NAIA '22.

Interesting note: Addy Wiley and Nikki Hiltz left high school with an identical 400 PR of 57.11, not that either trained for it, of course, but shows how much potential they both had/have.

Wiley has gotten 6% faster over 800 in the last 4 years and 7% faster in the 1500-Mile. How much faster did y'all get from the time you were a freshman in high school to when you were a freshman in college?

What we DO know is that Wiley herself said that no D1 school in the country could help her run as fast as some small no name college, because only that small no name college had the secret she needed to be successful.

And you wonder why so many people are suspicious?

People are suspicious because they don't know how to analyze the situation objectively.

They've never used drugs like epo and understandably have no real clue what they are talking about. I get that.

And most of y'all are horrendous when it comes to numbers so again I understand why most of you can't spot race horses v. donkeys.

On top of that the vast majority of posters here really aren't that talented so can't fathom how others run so fast unless they are cheating.

She's in love with Nick Johnson and loves Lauren like a big sister in a seriously twisted family. So yes, of course she stayed home. People make horrible decisions based on love ALL THE TIME. Every year at every high school across the country some kid stays home instead of going away to school because they are in love with their bf/gf at home. It's not that complicated.

Oh I think people are analyzing this situation very objectively, whereas you take refuge in feigned incredulity. Sorry but there is zero reason to believe that they would dope their athletes but this one athlete was the exception. And that suspicion extends back into high school. Btw did you take EPO? Just curious.

Also: Why don't you compare her times to D3 while you are at it? The cherry-picking is hilarious.

Anyway, on every Shelby Houlihan thread someone would always chime in with feigned "expertise" to tell us how how there is just no way doping is involved, trust me. Heck they did the same thing on the Lauren Johnson threads. They would talk about progressions. They would talk about how so and so did not focus on running until they suddenly did. They would talk about how these drugs "really worked." The dedicated stupidity of doping apologists or feigned agnostics in this sport is always a wonder to behold. But, but, but, we don't know. Sure.

It sure looked complicated as hell when Nick Johnson created a fake email address so he could take a minor across state lines under the guise of a recruiting trip.

Read the police report and then tell me it's not that complicated.
