Poop stop, all she needs is a 4:30 and she's golden.
I think it was DNF for Chepngetich after all.
Leaders just ran a 3:05K!

Salpeter won't last long. She seems to be working way to hard for this early in the race.
Salpeter could just be playing things smarter. They just ran a 3:05 km. That is 2:10:06 marathon pace. She is probably smart not to go with that suicidal pace.
Tanui and Korir look rudderless with Ruth gone.

The American women running together and interacting with the crowd look so cool
Agreed! I loved Kiera just interacting and high 5’ing her kids. That was cool.
ethiopians are trying to break the kenyans, looks brutal

Yeah this has to be one of the most poorly paced races I've ever seen lol
Tanui dropped.
They're suffering early.
16:08 between 15-20K

Yes, but they're doing it much too aggressively. This will end up costing them.
I was hoping she'd get back in the game and pull the USA pack with her a bit.

Phenomenal, she was my pick to win. Another dud for me.
First half 69:01.
1:09:01 at the half. This is PR pace for all three leaders. Also, the way they have run, with surges (3:05 is a sub 5 minute mile pace) is probably going to hurt them in the later miles. There's GREAT potential here for the Americans to pick them off.
Still a long way to go.
I predict the 3 USA girls and Brit will finish 4-7
Chepngetich's Leg Speed Velocity was off from the start today. I noticed it at the half mile mark.
Korir is starting to hurt.
