I feel for Molly and I sympathize with her and her condition. I'm a fan.
However, Adderall is an amphetamine. It's often called "speed" (along with "crystal" methamphetamine) and is a strong stimulant. While Molly may 100% have a legitimate medical need for it, I think the change of her getting a medical use exemption for it is close to zero. The drug, is stimulant, and literally has performance enhancement ("speed") in the name.
Since ADHD is a condition that is diagnosed clinically (i.e. no lab or radiologic test rules it in, or out) giving one athlete a medical exemption for it, and other clinically diagnosed conditions, essentially equals giving that exemption to everyone. All of a sudden, all anyone needs to do is look up the symptoms online, go tell them to a doctor somewhere (whether they have the symptoms or not) and no one, doctor included, can do any test to prove you don't have the condition.
All of a sudden, "speed" for everyone. I'd put the odd of them granting this exemption to her at less than 0.1%.
Is your analysis of Anderall and knowledge of the difficulty of obtaining it, or even if it’s a PED, based on your experience in the mental health field or just 10 minutes on Google.
