also you can literally argue that Wesfly continuously saying things about Sam parsons/joey berriatua is worse than anything said in Cole’s post, but they haven’t been insecure heads and took it to heart

Exactly. Great athletes all deal with being constantly tagged on social media. The ones that aren’t losers pay no attention unless it comes from someone worthy of a response. Such is not the case here - Centro flexing on some nobodies is embarrassing.
You can't call the party that did not initiate the exchange sensitive while praising the other. They constantly mention Centro online. Him having the Olympic title should be the first thing he says. They have no business trying to mess with him.
Lebron James, KD, and many other higher profile athletes occasionally chime back when someone speaks on them. a month ago a espn "analyst" said Ja morant is who De'aron Fox wishes he was and Fox tweeted that that guy was a b****. Does it make him greater by not responding or reminding the analyst that he is way better than he ever was? NO.
If you mention another man you have earned whatever response he gives or doesn't give you.

What podcast did Teare trash those guys on?
As for Teare's feelings over Powell's departure, that's exactly the type of heads-up warranted for someone who's notoriously a big mouth attention whore on SM. Powell was smart to not trust him with any confidential information about Powell's personal intentions. Teare made his bed there, spare me the teares.
?? Powell literally ditched him after saying he would come with him to world juniors. As an athlete at a D1 school that I committed to for the coach, I would want to know even if you were interested in taking another job. I would be pissed tf off. I would shade the f*** outta him if i was done dirty like that. Terrible take
Imagine: A random Clemson football player tags Tom Brady on a picture of Trevor Lawrence and says "your move, Tom".
Do we think Tom Brady:
A. Responds by saying "who are you?! I had to look you up on the Clemson website and you're some third string walk on player. Don't you dare goof around by tagging me on a post with Trevor Lawrence! I'm way better than Trevor! He only won 1 championship. I have 7 SUPER BOWLS."
B. Responds with a joke back
C. Doesn't respond
I can tell you which one I think is for sure the least likely...
This is an embarrassing move by Centro.

I didn’t praise the college idiots - what are you talking about?
Fox responding to an analyst is not nearly the gulf of a difference between an Olympic gold medalist and some IG dummies.
Centro’s response was pathetic. He shouldn’t give these kids the time of day - real athletes wouldn’t.

For sure Wesfly going at Tinman is the more mean-spirited take.
But I think Centro has been hearing the Exact. Same. Sh*t. Since the day after he won gold. Trevor Lawrence doesn't talk sh*t about Tom Brady every week just because he can throw the ball further than Brady.
Nobody corrects Teare. His coach doesnt tell him to shut up. His fanboys encourage it. Now his teammates do the work for him? If Centro doesn't respond and defend his position, who will?
might still be banned not sure? wrote:

His body of work.

Oh.
This is definitive proof Centro is on roids
Futhermore i don't get understand COLLEGE kids talking crap on social media. Don't coaches consider it a bad look. I graduated in 2018 and I promise if I took a dig at a specific guy in our (D3) conference or region, and 3 people saw it, my coach would tell me to delete it inside an hour.
Centro needed a smarter reply, "I make my move in world finals, that's why I've got all these medals"
Writing a couple of paragraphs made it seem like it hit a nerve. Maybe it did after a couple of years of injuries
Matthew doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body. He is a jokester and he can laugh at himself. I can’t think of a time he ever just put someone else down out of spite. Not one.
As far as I’m concerned this only proves that had he been provided Victory Next% in 2011-2016 he’d have slaughtered the AR.
Centro is a boss. This is what an alpha male does. These fools aren't "kids". They now feel empowered that they have a platform to bully and communicate with the elites. The idiot that stated, "your move Centro" and shouted at him is the one to blame. Centro is doing what you do to bullies, punch them in the mouth.
Once again, these aren't "kids". Centro has the hardware to do and say whatever he wants. Maybe he's more Mike Tyson and Ali and less Gisele or whoever you want to compare him to.
Serves them well. These lads have no respect nowadays, the Cooper Teare's gang especially. They are always talking cr*p about others. Stop it, focus on finishing up college and running.
some of the takes on this thread have been wild, but I feel it's simpler than it's been made out to be.
1. If still returning from injury, just don't race. Get back to full fitness first.
2. If you are going to race and go on to win the B Heat, don't post on IG about it.
A) because it's the B Heat = there's no glory in that,
B) because it was against college kids trying to have any type of comp' that year,
3. If you get so annoyed simply because a kid called you immature on a podcast, you're probably immature. CT is allowed to feel a way about his experience with whatever Coach, we all know Centro has run his mouth many times.
4. CC posting 'your move' is just a playful return jab* after the Heat B-winning IG post against the same [pictured] athlete. Centro didn't need to jump out the window fgs.
*and not unwarranted seeing as it did better Centro's indoor PB and just about match his outdoor PB. Fair game.
5. If you're going to reply to kids on IG, then keep it light: "nah already beat him at ______ bro" or "sorry, busy prepping for another Olympics". They will ultimately look up to you. Don't beat a d***
This isn't some college back and forth. We have a 31year old taking time out of his day to go on social media to argue with kids who're playing about after running a time they're really proud of. I've always struggled with MCjr acting like a man-child but this is a horrible look.
Finally I'd add that for all of people's comments, I think Cooper is constantly very vigilant of what he does or doesn't say (for future branding's sake), whether online or in the YouTube videos. Even on this post he tries to negate it. I don't care if people want to say he's egging his mates into making comments for him, that's speculation.

& I got through that without mentioning the slow Olympic race, Evert Silva or Salazar

The only person Centro “served” is himself. 80+% of people who read the exchange now have at least a bit less respect for the man.

Lol no there was nothing alpha about his tantrum.

Yes, there is, sounds like you've never accomplished something worth protecting.
