if you google badwater 135 cheating, this thread is #3, with a couple of slow twitch forms as #2 and #4.
Unfortunately, bad water 135 has too many other blog posts and media stories for this thread to pop up.
Gotta keep up the discussion of Badwater 135 cheating at Badwater 135. If this thread shows up earlier in the results, i bet Chris Kostman will want to take actions on cheating at his Badwater 135 course b/c cheaters ruin the integrity of the race, for both other finishers, and those who DNF honorably.

I can assure you that this guy Jason is not responsible for 65 pages of posts unless you are talking about the fact that he was responsible for raising the questions and pointing out the fact that something less than truthful took place on that particular day. Who in their right mind would still believe that recording a marathon, entering an "official chip" time for not only yourself, but also at least one other individual is acceptable, when in fact, we know beyond a reasonable doubt, that the she did not run the marathon that day. In fact, not did the other individual, because he was in a completely different state running an entirely different marathon.
To date, no valid explanation, reason, or excuse as to why the inaccurate, false, or misleading entry was made.
Instead, it seems that some posting here would rather ignore the facts and imply this has been a "witch" hunt. I'd suggest that what has actually happened is that someone had the guts to finally ask the hard question and others, who for whatever reason, finally decided to speak up.
While I am in no way comparing this situation to a serious crime, we see this same type of phenomenon happen when someone finally speaks up about an incident of abuse. Suddenly, other individuals, who've either witnessed or been victims themselves, begin to speak out. In most of those situations (obviously not all), the alleged perpetrator has generally displayed a similar type of behavior in the past.
What it really comes down to is being able to analyze the facts and then come up with something close to the truth. I guess it is up to the RDs to determine their course of action when allegations of cheating are made. I would only hope that any credible allegations brought to their attention and then be investigated in accordance with the published rules or guidelines for that particular race. Anything less than trying to determine the truth is less than fair to each and every participant who, in good faith, entered the race based on the assumption that everyone would be held to the same standard. Just my 2 1/2 cents worth.

You are calling someone a fool. That's not the best way to convince them of your argument.
According to you, right now, the most important thing in your life, that "Needs to be investigated ASAP" are the very slow running times of a 50 year old woman.
I emphatically suggest that you seek counseling. If this is the most important thing in your life then I feel very sorry for you. You should try to find things in this world that are actually important.

You can't convince me that she has cheated in hundreds of races. That is ridiculous. I also highly doubt the reports that she cheated in races several years ago. If those reports were true then she would have been DQ'd immediately because the athletes would have reported it on the day of the race.
I am not a fool. I am a runner and a mathematician. I eat statistics for breakfast. I look for trends and match patterns in data. The times that Moayedi has posted are not unreasonable.
We have to look at all of her data to make any sense out of it. If we only pull a few slow data points here and there then the data is meaningless. Trends cannot be drawn from picking only the slow times. For example, runners who race don't go out at race pace for every training run. They have slow easy training runs. It seems like that is what Moayedi does for the majority of her races. Then every few months she pulls out a faster one. She has a very long history of running. The information is available if people take the time to look at it.

Not to mention an answer regarding the insanely fast finish of Badwater 135 coupled with eyewitness reports of shenanigans. That someone said nice things about her a few years ago is completely irrelevant to anything here.

How long has this been going on? What is our sport coming to when someone has the physical and fiscal ability to run marathons in two states in the same day? Doesn't the USATF have a rule about this? Do the mainiacs disallow this? I am sure Steve Boone of the 50 States Club has an opinion over this. I learned from this thread that if you run too much in one day then your legs will fall off.
Thanks for sharing this. Unfortunately, a lot of things don't add up in PM's running results. If allegations for cheating at BW prove to be true, your hero is tainted. Regarding the ultra scene alone,she's already been dq'd from Rocky Racoon 100 miler for cheating.
The reality of human nature is that we can indeed show two sides of our personalities- the warm and fuzzy AND the dishonest side. Think of how "great" Lance Armstrong was for the cancer cause, yet he was dishonoured for breaking rules in his career that he was well aware of.
Yes, this thread gets nasty, but without action from "leaders" (Chris Kostman Badwater 135 as one example in this case), upset people are going to carry on.
