What’s the scoop on the men’s 5K prelims? Canceled them at the last minute?

The Men’s 5000m prelim has been cancelled. 3 runners no showed, 1 of them being Asslouj who apparently showed up 4 minutes late to check-in and got denied entry. There will be 17 runners in tomorrow’s final race.
I see knee bending Cole Bennett finally got caught in his cheating ways. Glad to see the rules actually being enforced in that event
cole bennett does not deserve this slander. You're a piece of sh*t for saying all of this
Dude that’s awful to say. Grow up. You are on a forum talking crap about a dude you don’t even know behind a fake user.
This weather is awful!
THE HATIAN PRINCE HAS TAKEN BACK HIS THRONE. Elijah Wallace runs a 1:53.9 in his 2nd leg of the 4x800m relay (which was good for the 7th fastest 2nd leg for all finals teams). Solidifying himself as a 2x ALL AMERICAN. No one would have thought he could run this fast on the biggest stage (except me his biggest fan) after running 2:10.35 his freshman year. GREAT SEASON MY HATIAN ROYALTY🤴🏿!!!

It’s about time Cornerstone had a DEI hire
Haven’t you heard? You can’t use the acronym anymore because Trump, the insecure orange man, got rid of it. He believes the policy is discriminatory and that people shouldn’t be hired based on their differences compared to the majority but instead on merit. It’s strange, considering the DEI policy was never intended to hire unqualified individuals. However, it is essential to consider those who are not the majority in order to diversify the workforce. By eliminating it, he assumes that a minority applicant is unqualified. But hey, his followers are happy, so what can we do? I hope Cornerstone doesn’t get in trouble for their hiring process. I'll stay in Canada 🇨🇦

Hopefully he bans that foreign NAIA team that the everyone wants out.
"Interesting take—though it's worth remembering that the team earned its spot like everyone else. Banning them just because they're foreign doesn't really line up with the spirit of fair play, does it?"
Cole Bennett 100% deserves the slander lol typical race walker who lives in a bubble that the race walk is a real event. Time to go break 17:30 for 5000m and stop trying to cheat your way to a meaningless all american!
Great performance from Silva, Peralta, and Asslouj so far.
Morons.
Silva and Peralta came down from d1 (not willingly) to beat down on lesser competition and have been getting smacked around by guys 4 years younger than them.
Asslouj couldn’t even check in for his event after ducking from any competition to attempt to try and help his team in the overall standings.
What a joke.
ok little bro
From looking at the start list it seems they let asslouj back in? One way to not have to run the prelim
Luca’s talent couldn’t carry him to a title this time.
Absolutely awful race strategies from him in both the 5k and 10k and he paid the price this time.
Puts a smile on my face.
Kudos to DeVries for having the nads to go with him, definitely paid off because that decision was what gave him the win over Fullerton and Maciel.
You can’t argue with what I’m saying.
For pretty much all of those guys (maybe with an exception for Peralta) they all lost due to poor race strategies. They were the class of the field and couldn’t compete.
I didn’t love Peralta’s race, but it wasn’t egregiously dumb and I think he was going to likely lose to Long anyway.
Long also ran a great race, showed a ton of patience and grit.
Only men to earn an individual All-American in all three championships
Woodall
Butler
Fullerton
Madeo
Nait Hamoud
Trevino
Jenkins
