Seth Demoor is BACK baby

Same here. I follow a shoe customization channel (it's my artistic hobby) and that guy gets shoes all the time. He reads every word of every note on the channel and is over the top appreciative. It's appropriate given the time and effort folks put in to connect with an online personality. Guys like Seth would still be delivering food if it weren't for those folks sending him stuff and clicking away. If he doesn't want to read them, maybe he could get this oldest kid to join him and read them out loud while he's blasting through the box.

Pokes shoe with his durometer gauge, gets like 6 different measurements, but decides conclusively which one is the "right" score. Checks that the shoe is made in Vietnam. Twists shoe around, gooses on the screen. Checks weight, gives poor score for anything over 6oz. Disregards that shoes will wear differently based on runner's weight, foot shape, running surface, etc. and tells you the shoe will last 400 miles. Gives a poor score for price, even though despite inflation it's the same price as last year's model, which he gave an excellent score. Yadda yadda.

can you expand upon egg-gate? What happened? You've piqued my interest.

Seth ate a toasted Bobo bar with butter for years, then switched a few months back to eggs which he cuts up with scissors. Despite eggs being a better nutritional source, the board has gone crazy that he's all eggs, all the time now.

Let's not forget that glorious day where he made a plate of scrambled eggs, and then ate it while driving, and filming himself, at 4AM.

He also had a video explaining "why I eat eggs as a runner"

He also went out for breakfast with TL a few times and ordered a few fried eggs. NOTHING ELSE, JUST EGGS.

He also mentioned a couple months ago how he wanted to improve his nutrition. What he meant by that was getting back into getting locally sourced free range eggs delivered to his home.

We're not obsessed with eggs, Seth is. We're obsessed with Seth.

How will I use this shoe going forward..? I won’t, other than to hoard it among piles of other barely used shoes and perhaps make vague references to it in future videos but then be unable to physically find it (and no I won’t actually stop filming and look for it properly - cmon now people that’s not how we do it in the shoedio, the shoeeeeedio).

Don't forget the egg taste-test where he had a "showdown" between various egg brands. Like the Pepsi challenge, but with eggs. Brilliant!

Dude had some pretty decent videos a few years back, explaining his marathon training buildups, etc. I watched a bit during Covid until the novelty wore off. At first Seth came across as an expert (in those old videos anyways), until you eventually saw past the front he puts on. This thread inspired me to watch again recently, and man has it changed. The new videos have no passion, and almost no good running info or tips. Its just a rambling dude with questionable character and a drone.

Questionable character??......do expound.

1. Regularly drives while filming himself, often also while eating/drinking and visibly sleep deprived. Been called out on this many times but continues to put his family and other drivers and pedestrians at risk.

2. Seems to disregard various laws/regulations he doesn't agree with including drone flying regulations, trail closures, race Covid face covering policies, etc.

3. Shamelessly tries to take advantage of his audience. At one point he tried to get DGR to design him a new channel logo and framed it as this whole contest thing. That just kind of vanished after he narrowed it down to a few finalists, likely because it became apparent he wasn't actually planning on paying for any the work. More recently, he's trying to get DGR to create and send him shoe review videos that he can incorporate into his own videos or something, which it once again appears he has no intention of paying for (apparently he believes ill-fitting shoes are fair compensation).

4. More subjectively, he just comes across as an inauthentic charlatan who tries to project this image of positivity and community but in reality is extremely self-absorbed. Look how vacuous all his interactions are with his supporters in the video comments. Someone could describe some really personal story about how they were depressed because their Mom died and Seth's channel inspired them to get into running and overcome these personal struggles, and he'll just him 'em with like "DGR Strong" and an emoji.

Seth does illegal drone shots for commercial use.

THAT is highly questionable.

He can't talk about others, only himself.

- breaks the law when driving
- breaks the law with his drone
- leaves heavily pregnant wife to go do a 6hr round trip for a run up a hill + some pressups on a mat at a track (for no reason)
- makes excuses for injuries (see: 'sitting on an airplane injured me') and avoids accountability
- fails in his responsibility to set an example for his fanbase, by championing his method of overtraining
- gives nutritional advice to followers when doesn't understand it himself
- gives advice to followers on topics he hasn't read up on (see: injuries)
- argues with majority of health specialists he sees when diagnosing injuries he has
- cuts TL down in conversation in the majority of videos when she makes suggestions, so he can keep the facade of 'the knowledgeable one'
- avoids any kind of direct or honest questions from fanbase unless it's brown-nosing him, will go to 9month old videos for 'comment of the day' to avoid recent comments & even actively deletes comments from anyone trying to (constructively) question him
- doesnt care about the freebies/gifts his followers send him, to jumps straight to the shoes from the big corporate companies

and thats without mentioning the fake accent or naming his son after himself (which imo is very self indulgent)

- giving used shoes in the wrong size to a kid as a present and then vlogging it all to make him look charitable
- trying to employ people with a payment method of used shoes
- doing shoe reviews when he has only done a single run in the pair
