The more I look at it, the more I think that Tim Scott would be Trump's ideal VP candidate. He would neutralize the Biden/Harris advantage with black voters and would be the genuine evangelical that Trump is not.
I abhor much of Scott's political positions but think he would be a competent manager of the executive branch if Trump croaked or otherwise did not finish his term. (The debates will tell me more, but so far Scott doesn't come across as crazy.)
And if Trump/Scott were to lose in 2024, which I acknowledge is at least possible if unlikely, then Scott could return to the Senate for the final four years of his current term and be a frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2028.

I don't understand how he'd be able to handle both trials in January.
Since the trial date for the pyramid scheme was set a good while back, I'm going to guess that the Jan. 6 would be the one that would move to another month.

When there is a conflict between a criminal lawsuit and a civil lawsuit, the criminal lawsuit usually has the priority. So the pyramid scheme trial may have to be rescheduled.
