everything is image and social media. i think part of the reason this went like it did is they are used to bs'ing 40% of the country with whatever they say goes, except there's videotape and not some abstract policy with unknown future results, or employees in DC you don't know personally.

Many agitators are bussed in from out of state.

These are not organic "protests" - communist groups funded by expats in China are behind the chaos.

they are now using that chaos to leverage blue states to change policy in terms of playing along with ICE. it's leverage. like we put on a tariff and only then see about a trade deal. they don't care if the tariff does chaos.

Texas complies with ICE. It is not in ICE’s mission parameters to randomly knock doors. Any place they go is in pursuit of ICE detainers that were not honored. In the process of serving those warrants, they can legally detain anyone else they run up against they believe to be in the country illegally. The reason most collateral arrests are Hispanics is not racist, it is because most of the detainers are for Hispanics (over 90%) and they tend to live and associate with other Hispanics. Most Asians in the country illegally (the second largest group of illegal immigrants) are VISA overstays and don’t typically commit violent crimes, so there aren’t wa The rrants for them. Ditto for those from the EU and Oceania. I don’t leave my house without ID (it’s illegal for me to drive without a license and I have to show my ID for a number of different reasons through my daily life).

The Dallas Hispanic that was shot in Gestapo ICE custody was going to all his immigration hearings. A few weeks after he died his citizenship was granted. Had he not been killed he was going to be deported to El Salvador.
