Someone changed her FB settings the second the page was mentioned on this board. If you are, please tell us why? I think the why of the cheating is what fascinates us here... we've all figured out the how.

I understand running through injuries, but I think once my feet were fractured, I'd try to heal up? That explains why she is slow,and actually might explain why she's turned to cutting off a lap or two.

Well now we know why she's injured. Only runners I know who put that type of mileage on shoes are supe thin, lightweight runners, and not many of em.

There are two reasons for overusing shoes. First of all, my shoes just start getting comfortable after the first few 100 miles. I also don’t have a shoe sponsor yet and they can get very expensive! Last year I used close to 10 pairs, two of them melted during the Badwater race because of 200 degree on the asphalt!

So consider me a troll, ignore my posts and move on then. Or e-mail the RD and ask whether he is investigating. Her race results will either stand or they won\'t.

As for your post about how runners have "a pall" cast over their times and how she gets money from sponsors, I don't care about the reputation of the four runners doing the "run back and forth in a park on a Tuesday" marathon, and if I made a list of travesties of people getting money by fraud, PM would be about #943.

I'm fascinated by cheating stories and would be interested in exactly when and why she started cheating, but I'm not going to waste a day off standing in a park watching her or lose my job because I spend 8 hours a day internet stalking her.

Jason or whoever you are, you win. PM cheated. She's going to be DQ-ed from more races. The rest of us are enjoying the spectacle, but don't try to drag us into your creeping.

TBH, blitzplay is right in a way. This whole thread is the same as the jury being the kkk in a case against a black man, it is never going to be a fair trial. Everyone ignores one side and believes everything on the other side and if someone says a reasonable question, all the other people here say that person is "Steve" or "Parvaneh". It's kinda like North Korea, speak up against the regime and suffer tyranny. if Sri chinmoy runner is telling the truth, fair play to him/her for taking action but come on guys, in a police case, the detectives cannot arrest a person because an anonymous person called and said they saw that person doing the crime but they will not testify.

I hope Sri chinmoy runner is telling the truth and we will have a third witness. We will see what happens but like blitzplay, I will not believe it until it happens. I am not "Steve" or "Parvaneh" before people start accusing me but it will happen anyway. Let the abuse begin.

Assoc of Road Racing Stats. They make it easy to look at her times for Guinness. B/c although her buddy/hubby Steve, when he posted as his real name early on, said that people should not worry about the Elks marathon b/c it was not for Guinness.

Well, the ARRS folks have a handy list of which ones do. A small little subset there, quite believable... most folks run in nice round numbers on a regular basis. Even without the seconds recorded.... really, her pacing is so perfect she ends at :00, :15, :45 on a regular basis.

Sure. Did Guinness really look at these and accept it as fact?

Actually, for Parvaneh Is the best thing. If her IRan races are real, If the participants are real, If the results are real, plus...If she finish the entire distance without cuttings of whitout doing less laps...It will be all ok.

So why you are so worried about this weekend triple crown 3 in 3 marathons?

I been following this thread...this Darren guy is doing what we all should do - maintain integrity in running. He didn't have to say anything but did the right thing by reporting what he personally saw to the RD. Only way cheaters get away with cheating is if no one says nothing. Wish I could meet this guy - kind of guy to be around because he has courage and integrity. Your either part of problem or part of solution. Not telling what you saw lets it go on - reporting makes it stop.

I would like to know, what is her BEST legitimate marathon where there was absolutely no question that she ran the whole way. What year did she run it and how old was she when she did it?

She looks very, very, very slow and seems to be walking, A LOT. Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?

I agree with several others, she looks to slow and too large to have run all of those races and not be skinnier.

Exactly! This entire thread really started because someone raised a question and concern. Why is this person claiming to have run a marathon, along with another individual on a specific date and time, when in fact, they did not, nor could they both have run the marathon on that day. The physical evidence of this is indisputable. The official race results for the marathon in question contain results for these two individuals that were in fact, false. Yes, false. They did not run the race on the date recorded, nor did they actually have a valid chip time (because even if they ran the race on another day, they would not have been wearing a chip or using a timing system on that date). Therefore, his initial concern was indeed factual.

I'm thinking its safe to say that in order to be a "certified" marathon, the rules are clear. Anything less than that is just a training run. Running a marathon on a different day, under a whole different set of circumstances, and then claiming that it was run on the same day as everyone else is not a valid or accurate claim to make.

The OP was then made out to be the bad guy and SH offered a variety of reasons the questions were raised in the first place. What we must all keep in mind is the fact that regardless of the reason this person chose to speak up, he did, and his facts where indeed accurate.

Eventually Darren, Thomas and two other individuals shared details of their eyewitness accounts related to questions about the validity of her results at Badwater and RR100. The RD at RR100 reviewed the evidence presented, the he most likely offered PM the chance to respond. The RD then decided to DQ her from that race. He did not delete her results, he DQ'd her. I'm going to assume the Badwater RD is currently reviewing the allegations made by no less than two participants in that run, along with other individuals on the support teams. Eventually, a decision in that matter will be reached.

We now have other people voicing concerns for some other races, and I'm guessing that where there is smoke, it's worth at least investigating to determine if a fire exists. While I don't agree with the tone or wording of a number of the posts, I certainly feel the RDs and participants in the events where questions or concerns have been raised, deserve to have the matter investigated to make sure the validity and integrity of the races are protected.

This is starting to enter creepiness of the guy who drove ~100 miles to hang out in the bushes of Kip Litton's office all day to ensure he was working during the day of the Boston Marathon.

Let's not go this far. Pouring over results and pictures is one thing. Stalking is another. Don't cross the line.

Stalking is definitely weird. That would be considered finding her home, following her around at the grocery store... that is not relevant to cheating and no one cares.

However, going to her publicly listed and advertised races - as a spectator, to cheer participants - and perhaps help them count laps, as a volunteer - is typically not considered stalking. It is considered being a good supporter of fellow runners and the running community at large. Heck, if someone has the $90 to blow and register to run one of the things, she has an entire website devoted to convincing people to show up and run her stuff... that's called spending money to register for and attend an event . Also not stalker behavior.

Additionally, she runs her races in a public park, which unless it is closed to all other users of the trail, so it seems like if someone wanted to get a few miles in on a popular trail, I'm sure there are many other residents of that area who do the same.

Hiding in the bushes is creepy. Attending a race in a public park (and maybe taking pictures) isn't creepy at all.

Unless you hide in the bushes while you're doing it.
