my select soccer team used to go up to MN every summer for a soccer tournament, since it was so much cooler than the south. it wasn't very diverse then but the people were very nice. i don't recognize the MN the GOP is trying to spin it as. it is not somalistan -- it's probably whiter than where you live. there are some liberal colleges and it leans slightly left, but it's also not exactly vermont. if they are out on the streets, there's a reason.
