But in the US the 7 day average of new cases is down around 20% from it peak in early Jan 2021.
Deaths are down around 10%. That's very good.
In Israel, new cases are down 4% from peak, deaths down a more meaningful 10%.
We can hope that the Israeli outsized reduction in deaths is because fewer of the 65 and older set are getting the disease, because most in that cohort have been vaccinated.

Theft is hardly only prosecutable at the federal level.
I've seen posts from a few lawyers saying that any number of states could take over Bannon's prosecution.

Is there such a thing as presidential pardons in other democratic, developed countries? While I can see some cases of it doing good, it seems too open to abuse and gives the message that the president is above the law. I think they should get rid of them, not sure there is any desire for it though.

It would require a Constitutional amendment. There've been dozens of those, but they're major undertakings.
