RE: Cheating at Marathons

Can someone please summarize this latest events of this thread for me, it is one big confusing mess?

And why do people keep posting about "Angela?" This thread is about PM, stop bringing others into the mix. If you want a discussion about Angela or Steve, start a new thread.

PM ran a marathon this weekend, and finished ahead of people who lapped her on a 3 mile loop course.

She was seen at packet pickup at 20 minutes before the official start of the race, so did not start early. There is debate as to if an early start was offered at this race.

The RD has been alerted to this and is investigating, including by checking with the volunteers who were in charge of counting laps.

One of the runners who reported the possible cheating is keeping this message board informed.

PM is also hosting a series of races in San Antonio this weekend as part of her I Ran series, and LRC is seeking folks who live there that might want to go watch them play out.

I have never noticed her shoes....but great observation! Even when I stock up on a discontinued model I still get multiple colors and such as par for the course. That is crazy strange. And proves the devil is in the details. Kip Litton was done in by shoes too. Though in his case it was multiple shoes per marathon.

And I have just heard back from the RD. They are investigating and will try to confirm that all nine laps were completed by LM and PM. He also said that there was a group of runners who requested an early start and that Larry Macon may have been in that group. If you do not want to do this. Post a link to the Email you received from the RD stating his intent to investigate. These claims have got very distracting without any proof of your credibility.

Besides, PM does not need to know who all has eyes on her at her "races". It could be anyone at anytime.

The poster just wrote information relating to the email. I could make the same claims and have been living in Australia and never near the race. Do you know how a keyboard works? You type in a series of letters which make words and then sentences and so on even if they are not true.

I am not claiming the poster is lying but I want to see ACTUAL proof of the claims and info implied. You do realize people lie or troll don't you? I want solid proof and so should everyone else. I don't rely on confirmation bias to form my opinions like you. I want solid evidence to form my opinion like a rational person. You shouldn't always believe everything you read. I am not Steve. Anyone on this thread who betrays peoples beliefs on this matter is then called Steve. I have been posting under this registered Letsrun handle for over a year and well before this thread started. Want proof, check the archives for my handle. Can we just stop with the lynch mob mentality here and use some rational thought and not fall into buying unsubstantiated claims. I have already posted earlier in this thread stating I think PM cheated from the evidence provided but I will not consider this NY race evidence until it has been substantiated.

Steve, you named Darren and Thomas because they aren't posting anymore. At least as Darren and Thomas. The sad thing here is, you know that PM cheated in NY. And you know that 2 posters seen it. Those posters are providing excellent info AND ACTUAL PROOF to us, and more important, to the RD.

It's over Steve. Expect a wave of DQ's in some days.

Race Report:

Moayedi takes the win after nearly being lapped on the first 400m. A spectacular comeback then ensued as PM hopped onto the cameraman's segway and overtook Amos in some style for the win in the last 20m and set a new world record in the process. This woman is truly inspirational!

Controversy followed after the race when Amos claimed he never saw PM pass him and he also claimed the last time he saw PM was just before 400m and he was about to lap her.

The race is currently under investigation by the Diamond League RD but PM has not been disqualified yet. She has since posted her ecstatic race recap on her website
