Wake Forest's Angelina Perez follows up 4th pl finish at Gans Creek Classic with 2nd at Arturo Barrios in 19:05. Elizabeth Khatevi of Texas A&M CC runs away with the win in 18:56.
Wow, Khatevi; where did that come from?👀
Obvioulsy Kenya. :)
Maybe they realize she's not an 800 (2:07)/1500 (4:21) runner. I think her 17:10 track pb is ready for a BIG CHOPPING.
She won Gans Creek black race so she's undefeated on the year.

Impressive opener for NC State and Engelhardt - she was back in 50's early on and finished in top 20. All look very strong. How do they match up with BYU women?
Based on that performance, Alder is currently not relevant to BYU’s podium fortunes.
I’d have to go back and check, which I won’t do, but I seem to recall Alder is fairly inconsistent and is prone to bad days. But when she is on she can be very good and would be the #4 or #5 runner for BYU this year.
Given all the insane NCAA rules, can someone transfer mid-season?
These dumbwits in the media seem to allways believe athletes are being exploited so why not let them transfer the day before nationals?
In the new NIL era , NAU is'nt going to be able to compete. Mike has a bunch of young kids and started to let it slide in recruiting. knew he was leaving. He left the cupboard bare.
Contrast that to that to Eric Heins who gift-wrapped Smth a few nattys.
Serius NAU imploded. Were in 4th after 2k and ended up 18th. Wtf happened there. It wasn’t just one runner but all 7 runners sht the bed early in the race. Were they all sick with food poisoning or something??? Confused. Not a good look for Corfield. At this rate he won’t last 1 year at NAU.
They were the 4th at 2k (182) with their top 5 all in the top 60. But by 4k, they were just 12th (337) before finishing 18th with 418 and only two runners in the top 100..
That was an IMPRESSIVE win by Hartman, she seemed RELAXED still! And Napoleon coming in 2nd was an impressive result. Way to go for Michalak in 9th. And then Gapes having a bad day in 11th? WOW>>>. NC State is looking good!

I'm really not sure who is healthy
no McTighe, Bologa or Engel (late Ohio St transfer)

Baloga didn't race and neither did McTighe who was their top at Gans
