Gebrhiwet has absolutely abysmal tactics... sprints with like 300 to go and gasses himself with the last 100 left. Fisher has a good kick, but it's not world beating. He'll have to go earlier if he wants to win at worlds.

Not sure I’d say that: his last 5k a month ago was a 13:01 to win by 7 seconds; he just hadn’t raced a DL-caliber field yet. He was 8th in Paris and has won a DL 5k before (albeit back in 2019).
That said, the pacing and weather conditions did make the outcome a lot more “random.”
pretty much a non remarkable meet...obvious some are beyond their peak for the year and some are going thru the motions and some just biding their time until Tokyo
given that W800 was decently quick, I wonder if the 800 is the perfect event for the rain? Long enough to avoid the technical issues from sprints / hurdles, shorter than a 5000 or even a mile where the downpour could get annoying
