Flotrack had minimal coverage of the entire race after saying the first half coverage would be free . It stopped after 10 minutes.

jake barraclough, ran to japan is his youtube. Basically, he moved to Japan to chase his pro marathon dreams and has been running a to miles while training how the Japanese train. In his build up to Tokyo he has copied the training of some Japanese greats.

IT should be noted the top 2 Japanese guys were 1 second behind Cheptegei and thus on NR pace. Since it's getting hotter, I don't think any of those guys will break 2:05.

Big gaps in front of him however. 18 seconds behind the guy in 55th. That being said, the guy in 55th crossed the half in 64:18, so he is dying. The guy in 52nd crossed the half in 63:23, so dying even more…

History would suggest the Ethiopians outkick the Kenyan eventually, but Vincent Kipkemoi Ngetich still looks solid. Doesn't seem happy to be closely followed though
