At 19 Anna was the #8 ranked tennis player in the world. If she had been in college playing ncaa she would have been by far the best player. She was, as well, one of the very best doubles player (#1 ranking). If injuries had not derailed her she might have achieved more.
It is true, though, that her fame surpassed her achievements.
So, yes, Parker is no Anna Kournikova. At least not yet. Give her a few years and she might.
How is Anna a Parker Valby? Parker is long and slender with flowing blonde hair and beautiful legs while Anna es voluptuous miras? Que diferencia senor? Levantas tus ojos porque Parker seria la muy linda chica!!
Valby overrated - see how long she lasts - and where ranked in the world rankings!!!
Parker is a sweet and personable blonde girl with huge talent for distance. Her running talent is primary while her gorgeous facade on the exterior while secondary cannot be said to be separable from her running talent because all of her scantily clad bodily beauty in the exterior plus her personality needs to be paraded together with her running velocity and biomechanics when she runs. She cannot run while concealed behind blackout curtains isn’t it?

I agree with you that it is incredible how she is a generational rational talent. She wins the Bowerman joing only Je ny Simpson. She is an Olympian. This woman is such an inspiration to every woman. We are blessed to have her.

Of course she is blonde, beautiful, intelligent, articulate again and again, how not to like her tell me? 😌
Offended or threatened? Nothing riles up (some) men like a woman who threatens their intelligence, especially if she is beautiful.
I'd rather have a coach that is open to new ideas instead of being so patronizing. He dismisses her training without seeming to know much about it other than it's what this silly "Parker Valby Parker Valby Parker Valby...blah blah blah" is doing. The way he talks about her is disrespectful and unprofessional, especially considering her success.
Meanwhile he hasn't convinced me he knows much about cross training other than it's what he tells his injured athletes to do. Meanwhile, when was the last time Parker Valby was injured?
As for those who compare her to faster runners, why does the bar have to be so high for her training to be validated?
Exactly. He even said Grant was cross training a year ago. I don’t understand the issue. He said it’s like a circus at the meets with the media following her around. “You can’t get near her,” he said. Did he try to “get near her?” it sounds like he’s speaking from experience. I’ll bet he did try.
And why is Mikey trying to get near the beautiful Parker? Is it because she is beautiful 🤩?! Does he want to put his hands on her or hit her up? He needs to clarify what he means because it sounds like he is drooling over her when he criticises her!
Is there a lack of beautiful blonde females in his stable of elite athletes given Fishery is a dude?
She made an Olympic team as a 21 year old. How many American distance runners have done that in the past 30 years?
Suzy competed in 3 Oly's '92-'96-'20. Maybe a 4th if ARC trainers/super shoes were available back then?
PV has to make two more Oly's to be in the "club".
Just being honest here but Suzy is nowhere near half as physically beautiful as our Parker Valby! and I have a very precisely calibrated set of retinas btw!
beauty aside, I think it’s still too early to say Parker is a better athlete than Suzy. Suzy was definitely healthier and tougher because she lived and trained in an era of less man made elektramagnetico fields. Her cells are just much more resilient.
We all know 100% he came up to her and tried to fanboy her and she ignored him. Most old men who LOVe coaching young people love the power dynamic and she didn’t play along
If that's the case then why has Grant spoken so highly of their relationship, one he describes as being cooperative and that of two equals?
It’s all arranged dude! You know that 2 shady men can get together and arrange their speeches in space and time so that it’s always favourable to both of them!
Mike curiously said Parker is making money off promoting low milage training, but my observations are that it’s like pulling teeth to even get her to talk about her training. He cites “20 mpw,” which isn’t even accurate. Coming off injury, she said she was training 25-30 mpw, and supplementing it with cross training when asked by the press. From there, it took on a life of its own, and people assumed it would always be that way, and even exaggerated it as Mike did here. Her own coach at Florida said she had increased her milage significantly over the past year. She was merely managing her post injury workload with cross training as many have done before her, yet they acted as though it was unprecedented. It’s not as though she encouraged it. I think she’s actually annoyed by it.
Well said that makes total sense now! A beautiful lady with multiple championships medals round her neck has to be doing decent enough training in order to achieve what she has done. If there is doubt just attribute it to her talent for running. I’ve never seen a girl so beautiful run her legs so naturally with so much turbo power in them. She runs faster than most boys her age!

A lot of experts seem offended that she’s been able to have success doing things differently than they would advise her to do it. She trained the way she had to stay healthy (coming off injury) for the college schedule. If she had missed her last CC and T&F seasons, she wouldn’t even be a topic of conversation, and she’d be working a desk job right now.

Always appreciate your point of view here in the swamp!
A good coach knows that 80% of success is getting their athlete to the line healthy for trials and championships.
It's naive to not look at cross training, weights, stretching, yoga, pilates, massage, sauna etc as tools to keep an athlete healthy.
Blindly pounding out miles on the concrete, then missing a year helps no one.
You're right also that beating Americans and American records are still benchmarks for an NCAA star. After all to enter world class meets, you first have to beat other Americans to get there.
Valby now among top US runners. She can solidify that standing and close gap with East Africans on '25 as a pro.
I've been rewatching NCAA Championships while running on the treadmill.
She DESTROYED the fields in both the 5000 and 10,000. Those races were an absolute joke for her. She essentially soloed 14:51 and was waving to the crowd before obliterating the field in the 10.
She dominated an amateur race. That is good and all but the best of the best beat the best, not college kids. LeBron was already a great NBA player at her age.

That’s because she is definitivamente clean dude! This is what clean atletas look like! Gotta open your eyes and see! Unlike that Fishery deception.

Yes a woman’s point of view is much needed on this thread after so many sick sexist-like comments from what seems like multiple men on what is a very clean and innocent blonde beauty.
