Kosgei at times looked a little unsettled positionally but the rest of the top four were super smooth throughout and Lemngole seemed relaxed to the end. Good sportsmanship from Kosgei and Bunnage, congratulating the winner. I couldn't tell if Olemomoi did the same off camera.
Lemngole will almost certainly have the NCAA 3k and outdoor 5k records in 2025. Maybe the 10000m as well if she prioritizes the Sound Running event next May.

Don't forget, she is a steeplechaser and how many hard races does she want to run to set records?

I don't think a hard 10 would necessarily disadvantage her steeple progression, though I checked the dates of The TEN (May 25) and Outdoor Champs (June 11-14); a record attempt 2 1/2 wks before Eugene (where 9:0X may be a target) probably doesn't make sense. If Lemngole really wanted to attack the 10 at some point and Coach Stenuf made it work (i.e. managed her prep and recovery properly), I'd expect something close to Valby's best.

Forgot about Outdoor Regionals on May 28-31. Lemngole is not the next Hassan (yet)!
I wouldn't mind seeing Lemngole and Valby erase their respective mile PBs (4:40/4:51) at Dr Sander or NB Grand Prix.

Will Doris and Hilda go head to head in both 3000 and 5000 at SEC Championship and also run a hard 3000 prior, and then go at it again in Virginia Beach?

Add in DMRs & a sharpener (Mile)...that's a boatload of winter racing. Markezich mentioned that she turned down an invite to Millrose last year, marking the NYC 2 mi as one race too many. Hopefully D & H will be just as mindful about not overextending themselves.
Missed the race, looking forward to examining the final 400m. Nice work by whomever set Hertenstein's seed time. I hope Lemngole's is spot on as well.
top 5 were 64 or faster for final 400. McCabe ran well, Flockhart just had more speed at the end to pass her
Decent racing from the Mountaineer; better from the Friar. Hertenstein and Flockhart immediately tucked in behind the pacer and enjoyed a stress-free ride the first 1600m, whereas McCabe had to work her way forward from mid-pack, running too much extra distance and not settling until around 3:30 in. Seemed a bit anxious throughout and I wonder if she would've attempted the same move (kicking with 400m to go) had she hugged the rail just behind Flockhart for 13 laps prior. Good learning experience nonetheless. Appleton also might have finished higher with better positioning up front.
