I wonder where Jesuit’s top 3 will place at NXR individually

Jesuit could beat CDA at hole in the wall but as of right now I’d say CDA’s 1-3 are faster than Jesuit’s #1. Saw them first hand at 509 and they were impressive. All 3 looked like college runners. 4-5 is definitely their Achilles heal though. Will be interesting to see how the points shake out at the Hole in the Wall.
CDA's #4 is returning at Hole in the Wall. He ran 9:31 last spring.
Crater is the new #1 in the nation for Hoka
Hole in the Wall entries list
HOLE IN THE WALL - COURSE RECORD
Tyrone Gorze 2021 - 14:43
This is going down. Maximus Cervi-Skinner or Owen Powell will run sub 14:40
fwiw, Gorze ran that as a junior. But yes, I agree there’s a fair chance of a new record.
Champoeg invitational
Champoeg is at least 50% asphalt bike path. More road race than true XC. Add 20-30 seconds to those times to get a better representation of fitness.
Crater takes a lackluster 3rd at Clovis. Either they peaked too early or just had a really bad day.
Boise Idaho should be legit. They won Rose City with
14:36/15:11/15:31/15:38/15:46/15:53/16:04, times that should make them pretty competitive in the region.
I'm thinking the NXN contenders right now are:
Crater/CDA/Kamiakin/Mercer Island/Boise/Sehome
Jesuit/Issaquah/Rocky Mountain seem to be the dark horses.
Of course Hole in the Wall is later today so that might change this up, but as of right now I think this is a decent estimate.
Thinking Sehome will be strongest WA team at HITW & at NXR
Does CDA even have a shot at nxn if they don’t have a Rietze? Their current 4 & 5 will be over 120 points each at Boise. You’re not going to the big dance with two guys scoring 200+ combined points

Well, they won Hole in the Wall
Right, an invite with maybe ten teams that will finish in the top 4 of their state meet. NXR will have twice as many of those teams in the race, Pushing those back guys even further.
Would they get more street cred for winning Firman had Herriman not been there? What about Nike Portland?
CDA is good, handled Jesuit just fine, and the only real clear threat in the NW right now is Crater.

Just because he comes back, it doesn’t mean he will be at his top fitness. He’ll probably end up close to Heule / Morgenstern which won’t make much of a point difference but will add more depth in case one of them falls off

Who do you think will beat them?
