Maybe athletics is too professionalized now and athletes don’t want to take risks.
It could be fun. I don't see this happening anytime soon though. It takes discipline to hurdle. There apparently is a rhythm to it that takes some time to learn or you can hurt yourself. I have run a few 400s in my life, I can't imagine jumping over the 7th 8th 9th and 10th hurdles, not when my legs are dead and my body screaming to just lie down and die. But I guess that's where the practice comes in.
