Baseless accusations don’t help the credibility of the site. But the main problem I see here is the ability to make anonymous posts. That obviously opens the door for massive trolling, when one individual can post under an unlimited number of usernames. Most of these posts are garbage, but it seems to be encouraged here. I don’t expect that to ever change unless they get sued some day.
Sorry, Jaida Ross was better and deserved it more. Best women's college shot putter ever and 4th at the Olympics and was less then 2 inches from a medal. BOWERMAN would be pissed that they passed her over.
You think Valby is responsible for a certain athlete upping her Nick Bare chemical doses, to then shamelessly plug it to high schoolers, with results to follow in the coming years?

That’s what you mean by her “opening the floodgates”??
The difference is Cheserek didn't break the 5,000m and 10,000m records like Valby did.
Supershoes and time trials have made distance records like swimming records. By the end of this track season none of her records will remain.
That’s beside the point. If you look at previous Bowerman winners, they tend to be record breakers and champions. Valby had 4 record-breaking performances, went undefeated, and won 4 championships. Anyone who does that is almost guaranteed to win the Bowerman.
she can not run a lap faster than 70 seconds. her finishing speed is abysmal. she is destined for a life of leading round the others then getting ruined on the last lap. only getting big sponsorship deals cos she looks tidy in a pair of hotpants
They have mentioned XC twice...a sign of things to come?
Glad you brought this up. It would be fantastic if she, like the top U.S. men, ran World XC. She and Blanks are probably better at xc than any individual track events right now.

She deserved it, but this was also a year absent sprinters with multiple records and titles in more world competitive times. That would have made the voting more interesting I think.
I don't know. Call it an educated opinion. If people think Hull is suspect because she suddenly had the ability to run 3:50 at 28 after an established pro career, is that "baseless"? When people thought Katir was suspect, even with his denials, was that baseless? You rarely get the immediate vindication of a case like Chemusto. Usually you have to wait. In the case of Ma's army it took over a decade for a confession. This is a doping sport, and as the HU case indicates, it has no limits. Recently the top high school sprinter was busted. The sport is easy to game, ambition comes in a bottle, and it can happen at any level. Every top pro is juiced. Just like to think of the ncaa was a safe harbor. That was naive.

Your self-proclaimed “educated opinion” thinks the NCAA, up to this time has been a “safe harbor” from any and all throwers and sprinters from what you term, “juicing”, but now that nickbare chemistry is being pedaled to high school kids by a poster athlete, you now think the ncaa is no longer a “safe harbor”? Is that what you are trying to insinuate??
