Even with the heat advantage, Tuohy beat Valby at regionals right after the 1500, so I will stick with in the bag. But woulda, coulda.

You keep putting too much emphasis on that Regional race, and the past, which is not necessarily a reflection of the future here. “Someone” so callously said it here along time ago, “Take the L and move on,” remember?

These athletes (not just these twos) work hard. It is not helpful to cut them down.

During the period where Tuohy is supposedly stagnating, she has run 4:09/15:15 and set the course record at the acc xc meet.

In the same window Valby has run 4:36 dmr leg/15:25 and of course beat Tuohy by 12sec at Nuttycombe.

Stagnant Tuohy looks pretty competitive to me.

Honestly thought KT raced bad because of her race tactics. She was close enough to draft off valby but refused to? Don't really understand, she's never had trouble with her tactics before

Yeah I noticed she didn't draft too. It was more awkward too because Valby kept veering in front of her. It would have made more sense to draft.

course was in terrible shape, probably made more sense to see clearly in front of her for solid footing than getting right behind valby for the wind.

Don't know how Valby can possibly lose. After all, Astro claims she's doping. That's a very significant advantage. In fact, there's an entire thread about Valby doping due to her coach's past and her body building father.

My hope is that all NCAA D1 coaches and runners will refuse to be interviewed by any employee or owner of this site.

Tuohy fights for self-perfection. She doesn’t accept anything less than her best.

How come all the Valby fanatics post under anonymous name. Guatanteed all or most of that is 1 guy.

We have the same craziness last year... the same hyperbole. The same Valby on another level nonsense.

Tuohy will win. I guarantee it. She is a better athlete. She will run at least 5 seconds faster in 5k this year. And will have faster pbs career wise at every distance.

Tuohy ran with hand warmers inside heavy gloves at nuttycombe. She then diverted her attention and line of run to hand gloves off to a coach. She didn't care about winning nuttycombe, it was a training run.

She will care about nationals. She will win and win comfortably.
