What's next for Sean Brosnan?

The historic Head Coach of Newbury Park High School, Sean Brosnan was fired last night by UCLA, meaning that he will not return for a 2nd season.There are many different speculations on the reason for his firing, as some are saying that he committed Recruiting and Transfer Violations, while some people believe that it is simply politics between different coaches and directors within the business.Sean said in an interview that he will not return return to High School coaching, meaning that he will not return to Newbury Park. He said that he is considering staying in within the collegiate running coaching business, and also post-collegiate coaching business.What do we think that he should do? This thread is easy to answer. Brosnan will coach at the pro level or maybe take another college job. He made that clear. Now can we all stop dropping insults and pretending you know what’s going on.

Yeah, Dave Smith, Mike Smith, Mick Byrne, Ed Eyestone and Sean Carlson are always catching crap on Letsrun.

He has a target on his back because of his actions, not his accomplishments, which are few compared with those listed above.

I really doubt that he secures a pro coaching job but I could see him getting a D3 or JUCO job. But employers will be nervous.

I see the opposite happening. The people hiring him will be the ones that actually understand and value winning. I say he’ll be coaching at a power 5 or professionals.

I’m in AZ and got a text from a friend that was told by his friend on the NAU team last week that Sean Brosnan was in Flagstaff. Apparently he was with Mike Smith at an NAU practice. I’m not implying that Brosnan will get a job at NAU. I’m just saying it might seem odd that Brosnan was in Flagstaff with Mike. I know some of his former Newberry Park athletes run for NAU now. Maybe I’m making something out of nothing. Any have any insight?

Brosnan could definitely get a job at a DI college again. The real question is where is lands within between now and July.

He was fired from a D1 program for unethical practices but he is a shoe-in for another D1 gig? That makes no sense. Coaching is a small fraternity. He’s done.

He may not want to go back to high school, but he has a teaching credential and it would easily be the best paying option. He may have to swallow his pride and take a teaching job and try to coach some high school that doesn't have Youngs or Sahlmans.

He should have applied for Ventura. Their girls team is doing so good. And one of his former athletes, Tiffany Sax, transferred there. So did the Sloan brothers. their boys team have so much potential although I think they underwhelmed at Clovis
