Jakob ran that like an early round 1500 in a championship. In Oslo he’s going to lay the hammer down and run a very fast time. Let’s see if any of these guys are even in the frame with him at the end of that race.

Wow. Ingebrigtsen let it go slow and still OUTKICKED Hoare and Nuguse. 39.9 last 300.
That race bodes will for Wightman or Tim C as I expected something faster.

Yeah, had Nuguse assumed Hoare's positioning throughout, he might have cought JI. Yared should learn from this one.

Jakob said in post-race interview that he felt like jogging goin into the last lap.

Credit where it's due, Jakob was clearly better today. Would've liked to see Yared go around Hoare earlier instead of spotting him such a big gap, but it probably wouldn't have made a difference. Still a solid debut for someone without much international experience.

Also Cheruiyot has to be feeling pretty confident watching that race.

Yared has now beaten Katir, Hoare, Garcia Romo, Kipsang, Tanner, and Gourley in the past few months. He’s only been beaten by Jakob. Did just fine in his Diamond League debut.

Another terrible hold

Yared has learned that racing Jakob is not like racing your teammates. He will learn and be better. Buckle up for Oslo. JI will be trying for at least mid 3:28.

Kerley twitched, had to reset, and still won pretty easily. Omanyala looked pretty flat, disappointing.

Didn't race for the win? What are you talking about? He was in a great spot to win with 400 to go.

Simbine shows well, he is so solid.

Disappointing from Omanyala, never seemed to be “in it”.

Bromell must have jet lag, he had no energy density.

Kerley confidently takes it in a meh time.

Looked like Tebogo was even with Bromell, I didn’t really see his race.

Didn't get to watch this, with how much did Nuguse beat Jacob? 2 seconds? 3? I bet they were together into the last round with J in front, then Nuguse destroying him with his kick!

Trust me, it was much worse.

I don’t think it was easy for Kerley, but he did still run within himself. Really nice middle acceleration after yeah, seemingly missing the gun. Didn’t panic early on, was kn good position to accelerate well.

He doesn’t have his vmax yet, and he still won competently.

Yes, with 400 to go I was like omg, Jakob has handed Yared this race. But no….Jakob is just to damn strong and it’s a probably a myth that Yared is any faster than Jakob over a final 200-300 off a medium to fast pace. What data exactly is that based upon? Yared is NOT Wightman. Regardless, you don’t think Jakob can muster a final 25.x 200 if needed off a 3:32? Of course he can.
