People on this board have been trying to downplay her accomplishments and come up with a pretext to cry doom and gloom about her future since 2015. But at this point, who cares? Tuohy has defied all their malign expectations.

Wait. A few days ago, you said that you underestimated her. So you are writing about yourself. I expected that she would be running faster. She underperformed to my expectations and outperformed yours.

its people's ego at this point
coz they got handen an L and got proven wrong by her so many times
katelyn tuohy turned out to be everything they didnt thought or expect her to be thats why guys like that below say "i expect her to run faster" when in the first place they were the ones who said she would burnout and fade away.. just defense mechanism

I thought this site is about celebrating performance in a sport we all follow or we wouldn’t here. We haven’t seen this caliber of performance in a female athlete in a very long time, perhaps not since Mary Decker. Does this mean she’ll rise to the same level of accomplishments? We don’t know but those here who are rooting against it are doing themselves and the rest of us a great disservice. Instead of being inspired by the hard work this athlete is putting into her craft we disparage her very real accomplishments. I for one don’t want to be party to a group of sour and frustrated old men who take pleasure in declaring her premature demise. She’s been a superstar for 8 years. She’s not going away, while the latest pretenders to the throne quickly disappear from the scene. A very talented young runner by the name of Cook had a rough race a couple of weeks ago. She’ll make a comeback and may eventually rise to Tuohy’s level. I won’t write her off. How about not writing Tuohy off either.
Yes. You should celebrate accomplishments. Cook had one of the best freshman seasons of all time. She was a top 10 at XC and then ran the 2nd fastest U20 in history. But your comment "They must have known her issues with injury and the probable impact her form had on this," is uncalled for and flat out incorrect.

So what is uncalled for for? That they (OSU) were recruiting an athlete with a record of being injury prone, or that not adhering to the rules of physics and biomechanics will impact future injuries?
She had fewer injuries in HS than Tuohy. And these silly comments about running form are ridiculous. Tuohy will lose by 200 meters to Koko and Hasan as they cruise it it with arms flailing.

I suspect the comments on Cook's form are not directed at her arm carry. There are other issues.
I see no worse form than that of Koko or Hasan or Schweizer.
Tuohyvwith perfect form at age 21 indicates that she is near her peak. Schweizer made major improvements in form amd times around age 21.

Yeh let’s see who’s being silly - I’m done feeding trolls like nc stater:

Which is it, form doesn’t count or Tuohy’s form can’t improve therefore her times can’t improve? Really?
Improved form results in faster times. Pretty simple. Tuohy has perfect form.
BTW, Tuohy may have superior form, which is true, but there’s some room for improvement. If I were her coach I would suggest she should lower and relax her shoulders prior to her final kick. This would preserve the maximum energy for the final push.

Has Tuohy's form improved over the last year? Her times certainly have. If you say "yes" please provide basis.
No
