I've said this on other Kenyan doping threads: Why can't race and meet directors just not invite Kenyans?
If WA won't ban the whole country then the people who run the races and meets can.
Athletes can make their displeasure known when a race invites them.
Because you feel much more strongly about it than them. Plain and simple.
It's not something they can realistically speak out on is it? Look at the way I've been crucified here. A marathon in Italy wanted to bar Africans and the full SJW force of cancel culture was wrought upon them, forcing them to backtrack within 24 hours.

Eh, that one was not predicated on doping. Could a marathon blanket ban Kenyans without a lot of negative press? Probably not. They could do no invitations/appearance fees/help with travel I suspect without issue. Banning all Africans is simply ridiculous as based on the recent numbers, the focus should be on Kenya if you’re going down that path. Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzani, Eritrea and so on do not warrant special treatment by the numbers. You might theorize that they arent testing and there is just as much doping, but it simply is not backed by any numbers or information we have. Most races do invite Kenyans and do so willingly, I don’t think their priorities (fast times, credibility) are the same as yours and many others on the boards (punishing Kenyans for dopers).
I’m sure Kyle Langford has a lot to say on Bett. Do you think he’d say/believe all Kenyans are dopers?
How many more athletes are going to loose out on medals because of Kenyan athletes cheating. Think Kenya need the same treatment as russia and need to be banned until further notice. There ruining athletes lively hoods and are pushing people out the sport!
Well the report he’s using as justification ended up being false and now Kenya has the strictest level of testing for athletes to compete in Worlds/Olympics. So the until further notice thing is a bit outdated.
You mean Athletics Kenya denied it? Are you referring to the letter with the seal that contained a mistake and thus was dismissed as fake? It took me less than 10 minutes Googling to find another official Athletics Kenya letter online that contained a similar (but different) mistake. I reported this to Jonathan Gault but he wasn't interested.
Inconclusive at best. But the rest of my post remains anyway. Kyle should rightfully be pissed at Bett, but Kenyan athletes have the strictest barrier to entry in Olympic/WC competition. That is a fact.
No they don't. They need to be tested 3 or 4 times before global competitions. Galen Rupp was tested 19 times by USADA in 2013. I doubt if any top Western runner gets tested less than 4 times a year.
Langford also lost out to Alfred Kipketer at the world youth championships. Why does it surprise you that he is angry about Kenya (and not just Bett) when 5 of the top 13 Kenyan 800m runners of 2017/2018 have been banned?

You’re misrepresenting the truth. Rupp was the most tested athlete and that count includes in-competition tests. The Kenyan count is at least 3 out-of-competition over 10 months, and more than 3 weeks apart. Athletes will also be tested at a number of meets and by the AIU if they are established. Your use of top is doing a ton of work there because there are plenty of marginal Western athletes who don’t get tested. That is their privilege in the college system or as not yet elite.
I am satisfied that the Kenyan doping control were very weak and allowed evasion and all sorts of missed test excuses and lies.
Coe said doping was not organised and I am happy to accept this but the weak and corrupt doping control made organised doping not necessary.
What we see in Kenya we are likely to see throughout the world and this means that doping control has created the most uneven playing field in the history of sport.
What follows from your reasoning is that doping has completely taken over the sport - everywhere. That isn't an official view, which holds that doping varies from country to country.
That was irony, demonstrating that one can show the opposite with a differently picked cherry, which evidently went straight over your head.
Yes, you cherry-picked the sub-2:10 marathons in this thread about1 female marathoner and 1 female 3K -10K runner. That somebody else talked about sub-2:10 marathons (or was it 2:09 or 2:12) in a different thread does not change that fact.
You can try to hide this under a pointless wall of text again, but that won't change the fact that it was your choice here in this thread, Mr. Cherry Picker.
I didn't choose to bring 40% into the conversation, and already by then, it was no longer about two more Kenyan female runners busted.
Sure the marathon men are not the same pool of athletes that the AIU tested in 2022, but no matter how you slice it, the quantity of Kenyan athletes is consistently high across all distance events, when compared to the rest of the world combined. Even your ironic Olympic medal example makes the same point, when done right.
But do you have a better non-ironic, non-cherry picked method that would better represent the set of athletes tested by the AIU in 2022?
See you again in 2 weeks for the next Kenyan distance runner doping bust
I provided you the words of the AIU explaining what AIU testing is and isn't, in order to gain a better perspective.
By pointing you to more information from the source, I have created one path for you to become that much less ignorant.
You are still saying what I said you are, which is to try to minimize Kenyan doping so that it isn't what the figures say it is.
I suppose the figure from the AIU says what the AIU says it says. It's not possible to determine Kenyan prevalence from this single data point, so I can't really be sure if I'm minimizing anything by telling you what the AIU published on their website.
