Thanks for finding those splits; they were not given in the Euro results. Where did you locate them?
They were initially publicized at the time on the official live results, but you can find them on the alltime-athletics.com website maintained by Peter Larsson. He takes official splits, but when he gets chance, also does his own split analysis, as well as use Pierre-Jean Vazel's analysis (French coach to some French throwers, previously he coached Nigeria's Fasuba & France's Arron. He's a pretty renowned analysts & statistician too)
Thanks mate! I forgot about that site...great to see it is still maintained!
She just ran 22.87 and 49.96 indoors. Point towards being a 2/4 runner over a 4/8. Look at Nasar before she got suspended. 22.51 and 48.14. Look for Femke to break 49 in the open this year outdoors.
Folks, Femke just doubled back to break the Dutch 200m record in 22.87‼️🇳🇱
"Man, did you see how far Carl Lewis jumped in the long jump? Can you imagine how far he can jump in three jumps?"
"I hear ya! Hey Carl, stop playing around with that long jump. We are moving you to the triple jump. We are going to make you a star! You'll win an Olympic medal!"
No need to put limits on Femke. Maybe she’s an outlier athlete that can compete in the 200, 400, and 800 with greatness.
No, she's not. Neither is Athing or Sydney.
Neither is Michael Norman, or Fred Kerley, or Shane Miller-Uibo, or Abby Steiner, or Britton Wilson, or Anna Hall, or whoever else your wild imagination comes up with.
No one can be great at all three of those events. Only two at the most.
I love how any decent white 400m runner leads to LRC threads saying they should run the 800. Those who've been here long enough remember the days when every other thread was about Jeremy Wariner running the 800. Where's the Syd 800 thread? Where's the Michael Normal 800 thread?
The logic is hilarious, too. It goes something like: they're so fast at the 400 they can just jog a 400 and sprint a 400! But surely we can use the same logic and just apply mathematical induction. For example, Usain Bolt is the fastest man at 200m. He can then clearly be the fastest at 400m. And since he's the fastest at 400m, he can be the fastest at 800m. Etc etc etc until we have Bolt running the marathon.
It is not that she is white. It is that she is an endurance style 400m hurdles runner, with what looks to be an 800 meter stride. The only female runner who has ever made me think of Juantorena.
I bet she would be good, too. But first things first, as she is currently adding a new event. Maybe later in her career...
Getting way ahead yourselves here. The 400h and 400 are her meat and potatoes and at 22 she has an excellent opportunity to show her greatness now. Why think about some fan fueled dream of another event

Anyone who watched Worlds should be convinced at this point.
One season of 800 training and Femke is crushing Mu, Moraa, and even sweet Keely. WR potential in the 600 and 800. Femke could run 1:53 flat by age 26.
I'd put a lot of money on Femke running very fast at 800m, and the presence of Sydney at 400 might make the switch happen.
You haven't thought things through. Bol staying with the 400 gives her a shot at 4 medals - 400, 400h, 4x4, and mixed 4x4.
Bol moving to the 800 gives her a shot at one medal. And the 800 is a tricky unpredictable event, unlike the 400 and 400h which are run in lanes.
Plus even if Sydney stays with the 400h, Bol should be able to get silver in the 400h. It's extremely unlikely Bol could get silver in the 800.
yup-she should definitely stick with the 400m distance--4 chances sure better than 1 in known events where she has already medaled in...I would give her a good shot against Sydney in the flat 400m--not like Sydney is unbeatable in that event!
