This is one race. Not sure what your point is. She already ran a 15:14. Realistically based on all these runners at this point she is in the top 5-8. And currently on her way to be a top US 5K runner. But I hope she decides on the 1500. Lots of new young blood in that event this year
Good point. Saturday was only one race. Valby would win ever time on a flat course. In answer to the OP, Tuohy will get embarrassed at BU. She is a great college runner but will never be able to race with the big girls.

And who are the big girls? The measly 3 US women we have in distance that actually run well internationally? And how many of them had multiple NCAA championships? Haha. She’s not even 21 yet. Relax

this insight sounds along the lines of "she will never again pr after high school" and she will never win a ncaa championship".....time will tell on your prognostication....

This was the ultimate slow sit and kick race. Touhy commented post race that she was not prepared for such a dramatic change in pace, and that she would have work to do to compete at next level. Maybe that motivated her to work on the close that she produced this past weekend.
