Anybody who ran high school and college cross country knows that they had several teammates who were consistent and several who were inconsistent. Mack has assigned a confidence factor to the runners. Obviously this one runner is the inconsistent one. This isn't really controversial. If anything, he is saying that NC State has several very good runners who are predictable.
I really hope that Tuohy bombs so that the Tuohy fans can prove Mack wrong. Then they will be happy. That will show him.
God forbid someone treat women's country like a real sport and offer real analysis.

Apparently you cannot read or hear.
"There may be 255 runners but only one has the power to sway the team title."
He says "Don't even watch the other 254 runners".
Nowhere in this video does he say "everyone else is so consistent that I have no doubt about where they will finish" or anything resembling that.

Therein lies the rub. It's a lesser sport (just like WNBA compared to the NBA). So, it checks out that anyone who spends much time thinking about girls' XC is creepy, just like they allege. Good for them for pointing that which has been self-evident. Obviously collegiate guys are going to be interested in the girls running... because they just have SO MUCH respect for the awesome running. lol

Everyone is acting like the runners of nc state are being babies, sydney literally said to @ her next time. Doesn’t seem like she’s that stressed to be called out. And he asked for heat so he got it. You can’t say they have to have thicker skin but not him. Shrug. In the NBA the pros are always clapping back. It’s not that deep.

What if someone wrote, last year, that Oregon's performance would be determined by the performance of one runner and one runner only (maybe the guy who was usually fourth), and then Cooper Teare does what Cooper Teare did.

Pinning a team's hopes on one athlete is silly. Basically preplanning that if a team "fails" it could only be because of one runner is silly.
Gordon's comment sounds sensible to me. If you don't like it then don't read it. Bunch of babies who can't take criticism.

Totally. All Tuohy said was "not cool" or something to that effect. Rauber made a comment about high school girls, but who cares. What is she, like 19? People are making way too much of what their or their fans response is.
He is an influencer, people! Social media is his JOB. He can take it.
18-22 YO's are serving in the military, raising kids as single parents, working 2 jobs to pay for elder care, dealing with major health issues, etc but somehow some people think a collegiate runner is too fragile to have added stress put on them. Good for her teammates for sticking up for her, it's what teammates and friends should do. Everyone else can relax, the young lady will be OK.
They are because they didn't just state the facts but instead made bizarre comments about him, comments that are potentially illegal.
