They put up facist articles. Of course they dont want responses.

Why has it been impossible to post anything on this thread?

It costs nothing to have people post on a message board. No, the real reason is that they have been embarrassed by the responses to their articles in the comment section. Many of the comments reveal the sophomoric political bias of their articles. Other comments reveal their incompetence in presenting an article in a professional fashion. Many of the articles are repackaged from other sources and seem to make no sense. A great many of their articles appear to be written by a teenage kid.
The age of censoring any thought on social media that does not meet the hosts agenda is now upon us. Freedom of speech will be a thing of the past.

IT DOES COST THEM MONEY TO HAVE THEIR PAID TROLLS SOUT THE LIBERAL VIEWPOINT AND TO CLICK A THUMBS UP FPR THE COMMENTS THEY ARE SEEKING.
sorry, did not see CAPS lock was on.
Oh dear. Another brilliant poster that thinks hosting is free.

I don't care if it costs them. They are putting out a product, and without comments, nobody will click on their stories, which will lower advertising revenue. Sounds like a silly move to me.
there isn't much doubt that yahoo is again trying to control the narrative of the 'news' media along with other members of the media. Everybody must unite, real Democrats and Republicans and Independents must not let this continue. I started commenting extensively in comments on yahoo's fake news stories but it really irritated me that a national news outlet would print such outright lies.

Yahoo is worth $32 billion so I'm sure those hosting fees are killing them. Nice try. Nice fail.

Lmfao. Would you tell your friends and family that this is how you spend your time?
Never seen so many people upset about something this irrelevant. It would be one thing if you enjoyed yahoo and their articles. But you don’t.
More so, you and your pals are making arguments that it’ll hurt their bottom line ? like you’re trying to convince them to bring it back... it’s like you NEED an anonymous place to let off steam.
This thread is gold. Seven pages of conservative snowflake gold.

I pointed out a factually incorrect statement and your response does not refute that.
Yahoo is an unregistered publicity contributor to the Democratic Party.
Exactly I was waiting for someone to speak the truth! The comment section has always been filled with racists especially within the last couple of months! Like Nate who's very well known in the section, so full hate! Smh It had gotten so bad I stopped going to the comment section especially under articles dealing with African Americans bc I knew exactly what to expect! Sadly the times we are living in, people have no natural affection for one another!?

Worth $32billion is precisely why they're willing to getting rid of the comment boards.
When CEOs look to improve companies - they streamline and get rid of all the little bits of the business that provide no or low benefit. They're interested in return on investment. Even if something is turning a profit, it can still be canned because it's not core to the business.
So if you want to say the boards only cost $25K per year to run, it's such an insignificant part of $32B; that it's seen as a quick saving they can make. It's not worth they're time and effort.
The smaller you argue for the boards costing, the greater the reason a $32B company has for getting rid of them.

Moronic. Posting on an internet forum is not a freedom of speech right.
If you nail a poster to my fence I'm going to take it down. Your freedom of speech has not been impacted.
If you write to the newspaper to complain about something they do not have to publish it in next week's paper. Your freedom of speech has not been impacted.
If you call into a talk show and they decide they don't want to put you on air, your freedom of speech has not been impacted.

15. That's the number of registered handles that registered the day they posted on this thread, many of which sounded interestingly similar. That's a chuckle.
You know that it is not true, Yahoo won’t be back with the comments section ever. Yahoo is owned by Verizon, and Verizon is pro-Trump. I have no doubts that the command to take down the comments section comes from above, from the corporate/oval office consortium. This is typical fascist suppression of public opinion, because the Yahoo comments section was a forum of public opinion, and the least thing this authoritarian regime wants is regular people having opinions and sharing information. Everything now has to be shaped and set up for Trump’s coup d’etat in November. It’s coming. Everybody knows that. Don’t play democratic games when you are actually a facilitator for the end of democracy and freedom in America.
Why would anyone even go to Yahoo anymore?
Talk about a company that has zero clue what it is doing, and hasn't for 8+ years.
Are they an advertising company? A news company? A search company? They suck at all of them. I gave up on that site a few years ago.
Just for kicks, I just went to their home page and looked at some of their articles. There is almost zero content that matters to anyone with a brain. Almost everything is celebrity driven articles. Is it a millenial site? They use words such as "Epic" and phrases of "You have to see the hottest summer trend of 2020" to get people to click into articles.
How is this still like the 9th most used website in the world? What am I missing here?
