1) I agree that there is no limit on the number of stupid people. Glad you concur.
2) You are incorrect that there is no correlation between stupid people and Trump supporters. Let's start with the fact he's a serial liar. How can you EVER trust ANYTHING he says? He just lied to them saying he would march with them to the Capitol Building. He promised them all that they had big info that would blow everyone's minds that he would provide to them on Jan. 6. Nothing. They believe he's a champion of the working man when he has NEVER been that. They believed him that illegal aliens were bad when he has hired them for years. They believed him that "chain migration" was bad when that's how his wife's parents got here. They believe he is a Christian when Mr. Two Corinthians doesn't go to church and never has and wouldn't know a Bible verse if it bit him on the nose. He DID solicit foreign help to interfere in our elections, going so far as to do so to TWO countries while the camera was rolling, but they deny he did that. I could type stuff all day long that is just patently stupid that he did or said, and they eat it up. Sorry, brother, but no smart person could possibly support that man. A person is not absolved if they say they don't like him but they like his policies. Sorry, his serial lying alone makes that a stupid thing to say and thus a stupid person. This doesn't even get into all the sinning and vile behavior that SHOULD turn off more people than it has.
3) I do NOT have a percentage breakdown. To be clear, ALL of them are stupid...every single last one of them who supports Trump is stupid UNTIL they no longer do so. Racist people are stupid by definition, so we could just make one column in Excel and label it "Stupid". So, you are incorrect here...ANY person who still supports Trump today is stupid...they just ALSO might be racist. No, I would not leave any Trump supporter unchecked.
You are correct. Let’s look at the definitions.
STUPID
1a : slow of mind : OBTUSE
b : given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner
c : lacking intelligence or reason : BRUTISH
2 : dulled in feeling or sensation : TORPID
still stupid from the sedative
3 : marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting : SENSELESS
a stupid decision
4a : lacking interest or point
a stupid event
b : VEXATIOUS, EXASPERATING
the stupid car won't start
There is too much to unpack there but as you can see it would be impossible to through a list of trumpers and not check off the stupid box because at least one these elements fits.
RACIST (this is the basic google search definition since Webster only has the definition for Racism)
adjective
prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
"we are investigating complaints about racist abuse"
noun
a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
"he has been targeted by vicious racists online"
I recognize I would have a harder time checking this box for the trumpers I have known, but I’m thinking by definition you are stupid if you are racist.
FP, I believe all trumpers are at least stupid.
I think it's incredibly arrogant and also some what ironic, as I find it quite unintelligent to label all trumpsters either stupid, racist or both.
Having that attitude, you completely discount how fundamentally the Democratic party have failed working class americans for decades, which quite understandably have lead to many of them becoming quite angry.
For many of them, struggling to put food on the table, it's quite reasonable to vote for a president that promises to bring jobs back for instance.
Also if you have traditional conservative values, like being pro-life, and that issue being extremely important to you, you might also overlook other flaws and vote for the candidate that you think will fight for your cause. (I'd argue a consequence of being pro-life is some what misogynistic, but in itself it is not racist or stupid)
There are obvously other reasons as well.
Luckily the president-elect seems less biased than you guys and realizes that the Democrats need to prove that they are actually trying to help the traditionally democratic blue collar working class turned trumpsters.
PS! Personally I consider Trump to be one of the most dangerous persons alive and I am quite surprised that even more people voted for him the last election
The way I see it, some of the explanation for this is that the democrats came up with a very underwhelming candidate (again) that has everything to prove as far as helping the working class despite being in politics for 50 years.
