Tell me. "What the tent is they in?"
Oh. "It the video tent."
"And descent they did."
I'm done with you.
You are a fvking idiot.

Nope. Not exaggerating. Trump is an amoral, vile, serial lying, criminal, narcissistic, dictator wannabe, and none of those things are fictitious and none of those things are things that a smart person can support. Just the serial lying alone is enough.
Stupid is as stupid does. If you support Trump and you are not racist, then you are JUST stupid. No ifs, ands, or buts. (Well, I HAVE mentioned that someone could be mentally ill, but that's such an outlier that I don't include that...we don't include mentally ill people in these kinds of things).
Any reason that someone gives for supporting Trump that is not one of those two things come out of rationalization. I don't care if it's a one-issue voter (guns, abortion), the totality that is Trump TRUMPS anything.
So,
1) JUST stupid
2) Racist
There are no other possibilities.
That's an awful lot of people - at least 74 million American adults - who are stupid and/or racist. It would include many members of Congress, CEOs of large companies across the country, religious leaders, millwrights, slop boys, engineers, B-52 pilots, and over a million black men - basically the whole gamut of American life. The implications of your theory, if true, would be staggering. That leads me to believe you are still exaggerating. Did you take a mental inventory of the Trump supporters you know and assess their IQs and respective racist views? You need to get that task done. Get it done before promoting the theory further. Otherwise, it's a cart-horse type sitch. You know what I mean, Polejuice.
Yep. So? Why do you assume there is a limit on the number of stupid people in our country?
I do not need to take a mental inventory. Stupid is as stupid does. Supporting Trump is due to one of two reasons:
1) JUST stupid
2) Racist
There are no other possibilities.
Bearing in mind that one definition of "stupidity" is "failure to learn from experience."

For the record, my in-laws have admitted to us that they made a mistake voting for Trump. Stupid is as stupid does...they have repented and thus are no longer stupid. They even said they hope God forgives them. They still don't like Biden though, but that's ok.
Wrong. They are still stupid. They don't get a second chance after supporting him for 4-5 years.
Well, I can accept that opinion. I though AM a forgiving person, and when one makes a mistake which qualifies them as stupid and then they admit that mistake and no longer exhibit that same behavior, I say learning has occurred and thus stupidity has ended. I do know that their support of him was dangerous and damaging though, and they can not take that back.

Sally is trying to sell that Trump did not plan or set off the coup.

Not true. There are scores of articles you can find about this. Also, I will take the word of my genius immunology wife over you any day.

Well, thanks for truncating the sentence, which no doubt makes it seem like it's easier for you to be right about this.
But you're not. Here's the sentence in its entirety: "Actually, when a virus mutates its lethality is *most* likely not to be affected--a great many mutations are possible in these RNA viruses and only a few would affect lethality."
RNA viruses are subject to frequent mutations and MOST of the mutations--i.e. minor (usually) changes in genetic code--have nothing at all to do with lethality, one way or the other, which is what I said.
Ask your genius wife (no snark--I know she is), out of the TOTALITY of mutations that a given RNA virus might be subject to, whether MOST of those mutations have *any* effect on lethality.

Viruses have mutated as long as there have been viruses. Flu vaccines are updated regularly to deal with mutations. The holds true for Coronavirus. There will new stains to deal with in the coming years.

I do not need to take a mental inventory. Stupid is as stupid does. Supporting Trump is due to one of two reasons:
No, not necessarily a limit on stupid people in America. In fact, that number is likely a lot higher than 74 million, based on my observations. (It may be as large as 280 million). But I haven't seen support of Trump as being any kind of litmus test on stupidity. I don't even see a relatively high correlation.
Anyway, it was really your theory that 74 million Trump supporters, or presumably most of that 74 million, are racist that seems grossly inconsistent with all the facts. If you were only saying a small percentage of the 74 million are racist (e.g., 500,000), and the rest make up the stupid contingent, I apologize for missing that breakdown. I don't know what your percentage breakdown is on that issue.
But you should really run down the list of people you know that voted for Trump, however short that may be. Put it in Excel. Make two columns - one labeled "Stupid" and the other labeled "Racist" and then put a checkmark in the corresponding cells whenever a person is one or both. I'm betting when you come to the end of the list that a large percentage of people have neither cell checked. It could be an illuminating moment for you. I'm not saying any epiphanies are to be had, but it could inform your thinking and make you feel better about the country.

Apple and Google aren't shutting down Parler and have no ability to do so. They are warning Parler that is it doesn't moderate to control certain types of speech, they won't allow the Parler app to be downloaded from their stores. That is the free market.
And the relevant context is that Parler was used to coordinate criminal activity that occurred at the Capitol this week.

Twitter has shut down the government official @POUTUS account after Trump illegally to post more election nonsense. Government like that cannot be used for personal agenda posts, only for official business. He got to four new posts up that were deleted.
One captured @POTUS Tweet was:
As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me — and YOU, the 75,000,000 great Americans who voted for me."

We are not his people. Most here will not reinforce what he wants to hear about.
A senior Trump admin official said: “The legacy of the Trump administration is going to be that the president sparked an insurrection and people died because he tried his best to not abide by the Constitution... Nothing else is even going to be a side note.”

We were talking of this variant. Again, it is COMMON for viruses to become less lethal with mutations. That is my statement, and that is true.
Just when the Trump thread seemed to slow down...s*it went crazy. An eventful few days for DJ Trump and the country. Wonder how he will spend the extra time he has now that he can't tweet.

1) I agree that there is no limit on the number of stupid people. Glad you concur.
2) You are incorrect that there is no correlation between stupid people and Trump supporters. Let's start with the fact he's a serial liar. How can you EVER trust ANYTHING he says? He just lied to them saying he would march with them to the Capitol Building. He promised them all that they had big info that would blow everyone's minds that he would provide to them on Jan. 6. Nothing. They believe he's a champion of the working man when he has NEVER been that. They believed him that illegal aliens were bad when he has hired them for years. They believed him that "chain migration" was bad when that's how his wife's parents got here. They believe he is a Christian when Mr. Two Corinthians doesn't go to church and never has and wouldn't know a Bible verse if it bit him on the nose. He DID solicit foreign help to interfere in our elections, going so far as to do so to TWO countries while the camera was rolling, but they deny he did that. I could type stuff all day long that is just patently stupid that he did or said, and they eat it up. Sorry, brother, but no smart person could possibly support that man. A person is not absolved if they say they don't like him but they like his policies. Sorry, his serial lying alone makes that a stupid thing to say and thus a stupid person. This doesn't even get into all the sinning and vile behavior that SHOULD turn off more people than it has.
3) I do NOT have a percentage breakdown. To be clear, ALL of them are stupid...every single last one of them who supports Trump is stupid UNTIL they no longer do so. Racist people are stupid by definition, so we could just make one column in Excel and label it "Stupid". So, you are incorrect here...ANY person who still supports Trump today is stupid...they just ALSO might be racist. No, I would not leave any Trump supporter unchecked.
