The article is just speculation as to what Trump could do. No one at the WH has claimed that such a pardon is being discussed.

Sure, go ahead and wait until AFTER the pardon is completed.

Maybe he's a week away from retirement, and Trump's paying him a boatload of cash.

You probably read the story, but for those who didn't: It's quite different (or at least quite "more") than the squib. Doesn't matter which state's ethics rules are governing, some of that stuff is completely out of bounds. Not a close call.
To repeat: yikes.
I've had around half a dozen family and friends, around the nation, catch covid this week.
Stay safe, my friends.

US Capitol Police officer has died following riot at Capitol
From CNN's Kristin Wilson, Evan Perez and David Brooks
A US Capitol Police officer has died from events stemming from Wednesday's riot at the Capitol, three sources confirmed to CNN.
The police officer is now the fifth person to die as a result of the day's violence. One woman was shot and killed by Capitol Police as the crowd breached the building and three others suffered medical emergencies that proved fatal.
He either died of a heart attack or is one the two who fell off the scaffold they were climbing.

The rioters are returning home across the country and taking what they won at the maskless attack with them. Things are going to get worse. All those poor, uninvolved, people who unknowingly get trapped on a flight with these fools.

They are all self serving.
They won't do a 25th, but would probably support impeachment .
With 25th (if I understand correctly), Pence becomes POTUS 46 for about 1 to 2 weeks, before Biden takes over.
The question is damage to GOP, the Trump supporters in congress and senate that are scared of losing their jobs, even though this puts the party in a position to rebuild properly.
Under both impeachment and 25th (again correct me if wrong), it means Trump can't run again, but Pence would be wary of the backlash he gets for that and won't get a shot

Guys, just a neutral outsider observation, can we please stick to the issues, its making it hard to read with clutter from tiffs between posters, allegations of usernames etc...just let them be...they lost

And the bottom line is that the cop was not in any way giving aid and comfort to the rioters. If that really happened, I want to see proof.
The Senate Sergeant at Arms will be fired. It is his job to get the Capitol Police to do their jobs. He has some bad apples on the force. Apples so bad they opened to gates for the rioters. Check the video out below and watch on the right as an arm in black comes out on the police side and pulls the gate opened. No rioters were opposite side yet, and an arm would not be pulling backwards unless it was one of the police. Intentional? Trying to diffuse the situation? Of ignorance because it lead to an attack on the building and a death.

Yes, the Sergeant at Arms should be fired.
But you need a lot more context to know if that cop was aiding a riot.

Learn to ignore posts you don't want to read. It is easy if you try. Sally has posted here under dozens of names. Can't let them him/her be when they attack posters under different names to make their position look stronger. That is how it is in Sallyland.
