He put out two tweets and a video telling protesters to go home right before twitter deleted the video and suspended his account. I wonder why they would suspend a video of him telling the protesters to go home??

Is there a particular sentence or sentences you disagree with? One liners saying someone is FOS, just look more triggered than anything else, if they don't have any other substantive criticism to them.

He seems to have gone soft on anarchists who damage federal property. Today, he was all hugs and kisses, and a polite suggestion that maybe they should go home. 6 months ago, he was all over Twitter, threatening to throw them all in jail for 10 years. What happened to that tough, law and order, President that we used to have?

Complete BS. Those fools went there, and a handful got in the building, and most walked away when told to do so. There might be some skirmishes, but no, there is not going to be a Civil War. These idiot militias don't have what it takes to go up against the US military, and that's what the battle lines would be.

Here's how it's going to be...Biden will be announced the winner again tonight, and that will take the wind out of their sails. Biden will be sworn in on Jan. 20. Intelligent adults will be in charge. Populist Trump voters will slink back to their miserable lives, and it will dawn on them that their one chance to be openly racist and hateful is over; they have already begun to say as much. This is why they LOVE Trump so much; he enables the worst in them, and they love it. It's over. Many of them will never vote again. Takeover by force will not happen in this country for centuries if ever.

My post could have been clearer, but I wasn't suggesting Trump supporters were going to go up against the US military (most of whom are Trump supporters as well). It would be more like a "Central American" type civil war where sporadic violence breaks out continuously for many years -- BLM, Trump supporters, and whatever other groups seem to enjoy that kind of behavior.

But you certainly could be correct. There won't be any type of civil war. And I'm sure you have never suggested there could be one, like in this thread for example.

1) What happened today still WAS insurrection. It was an assault on liberty and democracy. More wanted to get into the building than did. It was an embarrassment to the US, and a black eye to conservatives who have said that their side never is involved in violence and unlawful behavior.

2) They went there to cause trouble, invited and incited by Trump to do so.

3) What I am minimizing is the percentage of those f*ckers who actually wanted to do that. Most of them just wanted to vent, not take over the Capitol Building. That is the same as what will happen with regard to an Civil War talk. We will probably have some individual actors do some bad sh!t, but there will be no Civil War, not even in the way you walked it back. US Military by the way would not support that, even those who voted for Trump.

4) BLM made its point this past summer and made progress. They aren't looking to actively continuously protest.

Like I said before, the bigger problem has always been the GOP stooping lower to hang on to a dwindling base. Instead of adapting and creating a positive platform of effective policies, they have resorted to voter suppression, gerrymandering, fear mongering, wars, sabotaging the political system, and now arming a delusional criminal with unchecked power. This will only change when there are clear consequences for their actions.

These clowns like Gaetz and Cruz are products of that system. They have no clue how to serve the public and don’t view that as their job. It’s only about power grabbing with these guys and at any cost apparently. You think they give 2 $hits that these trumpers stormed the capitol? Heck no, they would be publicly applauding it hadn’t the overall reaction been so negative.

There needs to be serious consequences and I really doubt any individuals will pay a price. As a party, the GOP will be crippled and divided but I believe the more trumpian and power hungry ones will try to adapt with darker tactics even. Like I said before, these people keep getting re elected so they don’t care. The brainwashing is permanent. Just look at Igy - Trump could take a dump right in his mouth and rape his daughter and he’d still say “but both sides are wrong.”

My hope is that the GOP implodes and those most vile and lawless republicans are marginalized without much collective power.
