I Arthur may have given Snell and Davies the same training in 1964 BUT John lived 140 miles away in Tokoroa (near where I am now) and trained with a bunch of very keen guys who were not scared of hard work, one of them was Mike Ryan .. who went on to get the Bronze medal in the 1968 Oly Marathon.
Might be that Snell and Davies lived distant and didn´t train together most of the time.
But on the 1964 mr. Nobby sent me that´s Snell way to Tokyo olympics, on the "10 week Lydiard anaerobic phase" somewhere on the text says something about Snell workouts like "done with John Davies" and "Davies did the same schedule that Snell". It´s not just the same workouts done by Snell and Davies, it´s done on the very same day on the very same track. Ok ? !
However for what i want to prove, if they did the same schedule on distant places eventually, this still proves i´m right with my argument about that Lydiard didn´t no training individualization at all.
Also about the fact that Lydiard said or write something that we merely might consider training individualisation, as we all might know - and mr. Nobby would agree - that Lydiard said many things he never did, and did many things he never get out of privacy, such a kind of megalomanic attitude, what i think it´s a psychic temper of some genial individuals that Lydiard was one.
