I like them better than Indiana Tech athletes, and especially the coaches. Yes, we know you've dominated for 10 years, but my experience and interaction with Doug, in particular, isn't good. It's a bit snooty, but I guess I'd be that way with a decade of success. They just aren't friendly to me.

I've only had positive interactions and experiences with Doug and Indiana Tech in general. I guess YMMV, as is the case with most people.
Looking over results from Grand Valley and a few things pop off the page: On the women's side both Indiana Tech and Cornerstone have talent and depth in the 400 which translates well to the relay. Huntington showed out in the 600 and mile, IWU looks strong in 3k. Men- Huntington with 3 going sub 50 in 1/4, Tech only had 1. 600 had solid not great efforts from Huntington, Tech and Cornerstone. 7 NAIA guys 1:56 or faster in the 800. IWU had strong showing from Sweet in the mile, Fullerton with a fantastic 3k along with several solid NAIA performances. With nationals less then 5 weeks away, the number of qualifiers or lack of, is glaring. If administrators wanted a smaller field to save on travel costs, they have succeeded.
The first ever NAIA Nat's in Gainsville will be remembered as "The Payton Mauldin Show".

Finally got caught. He should be DQd every time he does it. Although so should like 90% of them which is why it's a joke
Glad to finally see him get what he deserves. Bennett is just an embarrassment to the NAIA. I’ll never forget at outdoor nationals seeing him parade himself around like he was some kind of pro athlete the entire week. When in reality he is just someone who is too overweight and out of shape to do distance running so he switched to the dumbest track event that takes no athletic ability what so ever. You gotta wonder what kind of coach would want someone like that on their team, but then you notice he goes to cumberlands and it all makes sense.
Most NAIA schools are affiliated with being a Christian university or college. The way some of you talk on here is disgusting—shame on you coaches or athletes. You don’t like an event or a specific person it does not give you the right to continue to bully somebody. Please stop and realize how hurtful comments can be. It's wrong and most on here do not want to be a part of it. Be better and please do not go back down this path like past years.

He’s supposedly racing at the Millrose Games this year, which is a much more prestigious meet than many people in this thread have probably competed in. Tone down the rudeness some maybe.

There has been a lot of discussion about the House vs NCAA settlement and how that is going to affect college athletes and programs, especially at the D1 level. I would like to pose the question of what the potential repurcussions could be for the NAIA level with all sports but obviously within our sport.
How does the trickle down of talent affect programs and opportunities for athletes?
How will new NCAA rules affect our athletes and the structure of the NAIA?
What happens if the NCAA folds? Will the NAIA be able to handle the influx of athletes and changes?
I would like to know what everyone thinks.
