There is no “genetic superiority” when it comes to distance running. Literally everyone sub 2:09 is just doping.

By the parameters he chooses Kenya is the "No.1 distance running nation" in the 1970's while producing only two Olympic champions in over twenty years. I have to agree however, that at the Olympic and world record level Kenya was probably the best nation for also-rans. All the winners came from other countries.

"All the winners came from other countries." - yes, for example in 1977, where Kenya has had 50+ international victories (see an earlier post). Probably more than all other countries combined.

Till 1980 Kenya won no track distance events except those won by Keino and Temu in '68 and '72. Not the most spectacular of results in 24 years of participation. The best runners in that era came from other countries - not Kenya. They have obviously relied on doping to improve on that.

1964-1979. In this period Kenya was the most successful nation on the track distances. They top almost any metric someone might think of. It's not even a point of personal opinion anymore.

NZ, with a population a fraction of Kenya's, had more Olympic champions and world record holders in distance running than Kenya. But apparently they don't dope like Kenyans. It seems no one does.

It isn't about the number of events; it's the number of Olympic champions. If there was another in distance running beside Keino and Temu put up or shut up.
