Well isn't this a fine how do you do? Don't you realize that pressure directly leads to worse performances. Every haranguing post makes his 1500 meters time .78 seconds slower. I again implore you to get off Eddy's back you sick little monkey. Given a long enough time line, all things are possible.

Be careful with that "little monkey" comment. Howard Cosell caught a lot of flak for saying that.

You presume that pressure is now mounting for Eddy. If Eddy's confidence wavers, that's when he will start feeling pressure. Pressure only exists if he allows it to exist. Let's see if he hits a 4:05 this weekend.

That's what happened to Webb, he was the American record holder, then he started getting haranguing posts from letsrun and little Webber quickly became uncompetitive. Hell, with .78 seconds per post, theoretically it might take him months to complete the full mile.

I consistently ran around 50 mpw over the summer that included usually 1 long run, 1-2 tempo runs/hill workouts, and 3-4 easy days every week.

Today I ran a 13 min 3200 and a 6 min 1600.

My legs felt trashed but still. Wow. And there were people who beat me running around 30 mpw.

This is depressing. But I'll just keep working hard and hope I can improve.

What is wrong with you? Haven't you ever heard of the human spirit? The body knows injury and pain, the mind knows self-doubt and senility, but the spirit knows no bounds. The spirit will not quit. And as long as the spirit presses forward so will this thread. This thread will NOT stop until Eddy Lee reaches his goal.
