Are they caping it at 20? If so how does that work B standards?
To my understanding, the field sizes for each event will not be capped at 20. The rule of filling each field to 20 will ONLY occur if there are less than 20 people qualified per event
This isn't exactly correct. It has nothing to do with how many people qualify, but how many people declare. Once the declaration window is closed a coach can file a petition to have their athlete compete.
The handbook doesn't specifically say you must have achieved an A or B standard for this process from my reading. Theoretically, you could sneak in a 6:00 miler if not enough people declare and petition, though I doubt it would happen.
" 3. Minimum number of entries – At 1:00 pm CST on Tuesday, after declarations have closed, NAIA Sport Manager will send an email including a form to fill all event field sizes to a minimum standard of 20 student-athletes. Forms must be completed by 5:00 pm CST Tuesday to be considered. Qualifying an athlete through this method does not require the use of a Rightof-Membership entry. (NOTE: multi event size is 16.)
Nah fr, why is there no info on the NAIA web about the marathon? Like i didn't even know about it until i saw an instagram post
The marathon is not an NAIA Sanctioned Championship. It is considered a "special event", in the same way that a Senior Bowl Football game or All-Star Basketball game is.
There are no "National Champions" or "All-Americans" awarded for the race.
As such, I'm not sure what you want the NAIA to promote, when truthfully, the NAIA more or less tolerates the marathon because there is a small but dedicated group of coaches that give a s*** about it.

Naia gotta get rid of the marathon. First moved it to Alabama which is a sheet location for any distance events in general. Then gave participants entry into CIM in a weird in between race.
It wasn’t a very big weekend for the NAIA as most of the big December meets were last weekend. The two most noteworthy performances from this weekend were Chantz Minear (Dakota State) 7.99 in the 60 hurdles and Isaac Systma (St. Xavier) with a low 4:11 conversion in the mile, just missing A standard. Although the standards are notably faster this year, we should still see a lot of distance standards hit by the time conference meets roll around at the latest.
Since the NAIA XC TF central guy disappeared, I am currently working on getting another NAIA instagram page started. My plan is to have the account ran by several different people as opposed to just one individual, that way content can be released on a regular basis instead of once a month like the previous account. Hopefully we can get the account to have a big following like the d3glorydays instagram.
Outside of the last few weeks I think he’s been pretty consistent with posting.
The stuff that goes on his story where it’s people asking questions is probably better than the actual posts themselves and I hope he does more of that

This just confirms what I have been saying that the guy running the page is from Rio.
1. He was all in on the Rio hype long before the season even started when no one else knew.
2. Rio was one of the biggest disappointments at nationals and coincidentally right after nationals is when he disappeared.
I am pretty sure I know exactly which of the Rio guys it was but I will respect their privacy.
Here are my Men's and Women's All-American preseason predictions for Indoor Nationals on the Distance Side (800-Up). I also did prediction National Champions on the relays (4x8 and DMR). I only had individuals with one individual event (I'm sure some will try and double). This is based on last year's track season and the results that have come up so far this indoor season and this past cross-country season performance. I also wanted to bring up why Evert Silva isn't on here before you get confused. There have been rumors and Evert himself also mentioned in an Interview after outdoor track nationals that he would NOT have indoor track eligibility but would have cross country and outdoor track for this school year. This is just for fun as a ton of these Athletes won't run in the event I put them in on this.

CROSS COUNTRY ALL AMERICANS & OTHER ELIGIBILITY NOTES FOR INDOOR
Ahna Neideck, an All-American for Taylor, isn't listed on the Track Roster for Taylor. I'm guessing she isn't taking her last indoor season (Can Someone Confirm?)
Blake Hipkiss, an All-American for Milligan, has raced Unattached since Nationals. It is rumored that he only has Outdoor Track and no Indoor left (I think it's the same situation as Silva, Can Someone Confirm?)
Demetris Love JR, the National Runner Up for Embry Riddle (AZ), is out of eligibility because Embry Riddle has no Indoor Track, and he's out of Outdoor Track eligibility.
A pair of Guys All-Americans, Ben Smith of Embry Riddle (AZ) & Sharvin Manjrekar of UC Merced. Also, All-American Sophia Noriega of Embry Riddle (AZ) on the Girls side are on teams with no Indoor Track. But should see them come Outdoors.
Evan Hodkinson, the National Runner Up for Mount Vernon Nazarene in the 1K last indoor season, rumored that he will redshirt Indoors and return for Outdoors (Can Someone Comfirm?)

I heard Paxton took his phone away and paddled him after that performance. He gave it back , but he has to turn it in at 8:30 every night now.
Lmao the xctf central account ranked Rio 27th. As a team who people were ranking top 10/top 5 getting 30th, shouldn’t they come in last in the “power rankings”? Mask keeps slipping for the admin. Go ahead and put “Rio ‘25” in the bio buddy
Okay and? What point are you trying to make? I’m not on the rio bandwagon, I’m not advocating for them. All the stuff you’re saying is actually incomprehensible.
I wrote in a name that was relevant to the topic. Rio Grande did bad at nationals. They were hyped up and didn’t produce. I’m just trying to understand what the other guy is talking about

You may be daft. I am saying out of the teams the NAIA account (aka Rios runner) ranked, he put Rio ahead of teams that over performed at nationals. Rio went from a projected top 10 finish to 27th and you’re not getting the point here??
